Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo

If you’ve been wanting to try Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick now is a good time to grab the Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo which contains Lolita and Lolita II mini Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks for a small price of $19.50.

This little set is a nice way to introduce yourself to brand’s liquid lipstick or the Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo will make a mighty fine stocking stuffer for the beauty lover in your life!

The Kat Von D Lolita Lip Duo is kinda special and unique because it contains Lolita II which is a limited edition shade that is not available in the permanent collection. This duo is a total size of 0.20 oz together and 0.10 oz each for $19.50. Full size Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are 0.22 oz in size and $20 so it pretty evens itself out and there isn’t really any value factored into the duo aside from the fact that you do get a limited edition shade.

I could be talking crazy but Lolita and Lolita II are universally flattering shades as they are the type of colors that will look great on a variety of different skin tones. Both are dusky, natural shades of rose and nude. Lolita is a dusky brown shaded rose or as the brand calls it a chestnut rose where as Lolita II is a dusky terracotta nude.

The formula is a long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a matte finish and absolutely no flavor or fragrance. Make sure you’re working on smooth freshly exfoliated lips for the best finish as this formula sets to a true matte finish which can cling to drier areas so you want to be sure to work on soft, smooth lips. It’s is a thicker consistency but applies evenly and smoothly without falling into my natural lip lines. It sets within a few seconds to a matte finish with absolutely no sheen, shine, or glossiness. You will need to remove it with eye and lip remover at the end of the day as once it sets it won’t budge, migrate, feather, or move for the remainder of the day. You can easily get eight hours of wear from the shades but during that time the formula gets drier and tends to crack and flake. In my opinion, you might need to pack a little makeup remover pad with you if you want to freshen and touch up through the day as applying.

Matte liquid lipsticks are incredibly popular at the moment and if Revlon’s new HD Ultra Matte Lipcolour is anything to go by you might just be seeing this trend follow us into Spring 2015. This duo is a great way to try out Kat’s formula or to just add more liquid lipsticks to your stash.

Thanks for the review – I’ve been wanting to try these too. They both look great on you. I was afraid the Lolita II might be too orange-y, but it doesn’t look that way on your lips. Also like how you said there’s no scent or taste, I really don’t like the mint everyone has been putting in their glosses.

My pleasure! and thank you! It does pull pretty orange-y! But I still like it 🙂

I just got this set too! I wore Lolita today and really liked it. Though it wears a lot darker on my pale/fair/ghost face. It lasted for me through lunch. But by the time I finished eating my “California Dreamin’ Chicken Wrap” it was all gone. Oh well. Still lasted about 6 hours before I ate lunch. Haven’t tried Lolita II yet! Hoping it is not too orange on me. Overall I love the formula though and might pick up a full size in another shade when the VIB Rouge sale starts.
