Kiko Innocent Desire Lipgloss Set Review & Swatches
Kiko Innocent Desire Lipgloss Set ($19) is one of several Holiday 2015 Gift Sets that Kiko Cosmetics launched which will be available for a limited time. I’m really loving on Kiko’s gift sets and I’m also really hating them. I love the value, I love how pretty they are, but I’m so SAD that most of the contents are limited edition and not available as individual products in the permanent collection!
Sniff!
So if you love something from this collection you best stock up fast!
I mentioned it in a prior review I said but I have to gush at how pretty Kiko did up their packaging for the Holidays. There are a lot of Holiday Makeup Collections around at the moment but I don’t any are as festive and Christmas-y as the bright red packaging of Kiko’s Holiday boxes! The Innocent Desire Lipgloss Set comes in a pretty red semi-metallic box with a cute ornament or poinsettia (depending how you look at it) design. It’s a really pretty presentation that feels very Holiday-ish so not only is this a nice gift for yourself but also something pretty to gift away to friends.
Inside you’ll find a small red button pouch that pays home to three shades of chubby lip pencils or as Kiko calls them lipgloss. I was sad because I didn’t get three shades. For some reason my set included the shade 01 twice! I guess it was just a fluke but I can’t share a swatches of all three shades sadly. Sorry about that.
My colors included 01 which is a soft pink nude and 03 which is a bright traditional red. Each of these pencils swivels up, has a slanted tip for application, and includes 0.05 oz of product. You know me, I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with chubby lip pencils so I adored these and thought they were terribly cute.
They obviously aren’t lipglosses in the traditional sense but they do provide a hint of shine to lips and a ton of color. The shades apply are sheer but they have fairly decent pigmentation to get excited about with absolutely no flavor or fragrance. The formula is slick and lightly hydrating with an easy, smooth glide on lips. They do, as I mentioned already, have a shiny finish that give lips a really plush, pouty appearance. The wear time is around two hours or so. Through the wear I had no issues with the color fading or migrating plus they remained very lightly hydrating which was a relief to my poor, dry lips.
All in all this a rather cute gift set for giving or getting.
I wish my set had included the 3rd shade but I honestly don’t mind as I ended up falling in love with the 01 shade so I’m happy for the back up!
You can get the Kiko Innocent Desire Lipgloss Set at kikocosmetics.com and be sure to take advantage of their current tier sale that I posted about yesterday.
