Clinique Smart Treatment Oil

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil ($44) is probably one of the best facial oils I’ve come across to date. Now I can’t say if the Clinique Smart Treatment Oil formula is actually delivering target repair as needed, where needed as it is marketed for. But I sure love the idea that my facial oil hits my face and proceeds to “think” about whether or not I need more or less moisture in certain areas.

Being smart aside, this oil is a must for those of us who want softer, smoother skin!

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil comes at you in a 1 oz dropper bottle for $44 with a slew of moisturizing oils from sunflowers, sesame seeds, safflower, and more. It deserves mentioning this arrives in a plastic bottle and I did a little excited dance about this. I have a ton of face oils and all of them come in glass packaging and I’m a klutz so yeah, plastic packaging is totally aces for me as it’ll survive a drop if I knock it off my vanity or counter.

I think one of the biggest benefits behind this formula is it is completely fragrance-free with an excellent mix of skin loving plant oils and antioxidants that help smooth, soften, and hydrate skin. It’s a thinner, runnier texture compared to other facial oils I own and it does have a greasier feel on first application but absorbs fully once massaged into skin.

I wouldn’t recommend this formula for oily skin but those of us with drier skin will love it. And as I mentioned above it is fragrance-free which makes it a good pick if you’re sensitive. I found the formula very gentle and very hydrating.

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil3

Clinique packed this with Safflower Seed, Sesame Seed, Sunflower Seed oils to hydrate skin but it also contains condition Clary Extract, Barley Extract, Wheat Germ Extract & Vegetable Squalene that strengthen the skin’s barrier to aid in retaining moisture. It’s also loaded up with Vitamin C and E so it’s quite the little power horse of a formula.

If you’re looking for a highly hydrating facial oil that will actually repair dehydrated, dry skin for a smoother, softer appearance I’d say Clinique Smart Treatment Oil is the way to go!

I have a feeling this one will replace my other facial oils.

I wouldn’t really recommend face oils for oily skin but if you do want to try one something with grapeseed oil might be a good way to go!

I love oils! Have you ever tried the Soma Valley Coconut Oil Serum? It is super affordable ( Amazon.com)and has made a huge difference in the hydration level of my skin. I’d love to see what you think of it Muse.

WooT! All these facial oils are killin’ me! I keep buying them, but I so like the fact that, true to it’s roots, Clinique’s is fragrance free!!

Hmmmm…. the spring GWPs should be starting up in a coupla weeks… I think I know what I’m gonna be getting for that! 😀

Thanks Muse – (and my visa company does too!) I will have to score this one!

Oh Lawdy! Imma need this too! I am loving my Argan oil, but it seems to sit on top of my skin. I am not sure how much is sinking in and how much is going straight on my pillowcase!!

This seems like a really good product to try. I am a “mature” person with dry, but sensitive, skin so this should work on me. I like the fact that it comes in a plastic bottle, has an eye dropper and is fragrance free. And I love oils on my face. Have you ever tried the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules? If you have, is it a bit like those?
    Great post Isabella. Very informative.

The fact that is an plastic bottle is not a good thing as glass would make it last longer and not go ‘funny’ if exposed at light/heat and etc. Also not sure why you said you wouldn’t recommend any oils for oily skin…not sure how much you actually know about skincare?

I just found this product in an outlet store and found out that Clinique has phased this oil out. Have you found something comparable?
