NARS Goulue Blush Review & Swatches
NARS Goulue Blush ($30) is a new Sephora Rouge Exclusive blush shade that recently launched on Sephora.com. This NARS Blush isn’t actually new as it was released with the controversial NARS x Guy Boudin Makeup Collection back in 2013 so if at the time it wasn’t a shade you indulged in, you can now obtain if you’re a Sephora Rouge Member.
Let’s take a look!
NARS Goulue Blush is available in a full size version for all Sephora Rouge members and also apparently will be sent out in a mini compact with 2016’s Rouge Renewal Membership Kits. Recently, someone on Reddit posted a Rouge Renewal Kit and also posted images of the smaller size of this blush. I haven’t a clue when Sephora will start doing this as some reader’s expressed getting their renewal but not getting this blush but instead getting the Marc Jacob Rouge Exclusive Lipstick.
My membership renewed in October so I decided to indulge in the full of Goulue as it was kinda a no brainer that I would likely adore it as I’m a NARS Blush fan girl (as I’m sure most of us are). It was a smart purchase because it is a beautiful shade and across my vast stash of blush I can’t say I have a shade exactly like it.
NARS Goulue Blush is a cool, plummy berry with a golden sheen. It’s quite a gorgeous shade that applies easily on my drier cheeks and blends to a very smooth, even finish with a strong 12 hour wear. I wish I get a little bit of a glow from the gold but sadly it doesn’t really show up on my cheeks but regardless this is still a gorgeous shade and testimony to something that NARS does well, blush! If you have a good deal of red in your cheeks you might want to skip out on this one as it is very, very pigmented and might intensify redness.
All in all NARS Goulue Blush is a very welcome addition to my NARS Blush Collection. I happen to be a lover of the NARS Blush formula and this shade didn’t disappoint.
Sephora Rouge Members can purchase it now at Sephora.com.
