new facial oils

Facial oils, hand and nail oils, hair oils, etc…etc….etc….are all becoming increasingly popular in the world of beauty. I think all brands embrace that New Year, New You mentality which is why we see such a heavy flow of skincare launches in January. This year, it seems like quite a few brands are embracing facial oils as part of their current line up.

So here’s a few new beauty oils to try out.

Butter London P.D. Quick Dry Conditioning Drops Dry Oil Serum $18
Get your polish tried faster while preventing nicks and smudges plus keep those cuticle beds healthy and most with this new cuticle and dry oil serum formulated with rose hip oil.

Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Active Brightening Oil $54
Looking for brighter skin? Korre’s new facial oil is created with real rose petals that boost your skin with super C to increase the absorption of Vitamin C up to 1000% according to the brand which means your skin will look brighter, smoother, and soft. Although storing it in a clear bottle has me questioning all those brightening abilities hmmmm!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil $42
An oil that primes skin for makeup? That’s the idea here! Smashbox’s new priming facial oil infuses your complexion with moisture for a dewy finish that allows foundation to apply more smoothly!

Clinique Smart Treatment Oil $44 (Review)
An face oil smartest enough to know what your skin needs? I dunno about this but this one is packed with plant oils and antioxidants that will moisturize, soften, and smooth dry, dehydrated skin in a flash!

The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil $39
The Body Shop packs their latest oil with three precious seed oils and a blend of seven essential oils to create a super moisturizing experience.

What new beauty oils are you currently loving on?

Any staples you simply can’t do without?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh man, I am all about facial oils! I love the Sunday Riley oils even if my wallet doesn’t. I got this really nice oil from a small, all natural company called Handmade La Conner that’s for oily skin and that’s become my favorite daytime oil. I also just picked up Pixi’s rose oil blend now that they finally released it to the US. I really like it! It absorbs super fast and my face is sooo soft after I use it.

Favourite face oils are May Lindstrom youth dew and Sunday RileyJuno. For hair I like Rusk Deepshine oil and Shu Umurea. I tried the body shop oils of life but the fragrance was too strong for me

I’ve been using the Body Shop’s face oil for a few months and it is really lovely to me! Two drops for my face is perfect, but three drops and I’m an oily mess for my dry skin.

The Smashbox oil looks interesting, like that it primes as well. Have you tried it?

I’ve tried the Korres Rose Brightening Oil and I love it! It does brighten and the with Vitamin C which is a plus. All you need is two to four drops depending on your type of skin. I use at times four drops because my skin gets very dry in the winter. In the summer I most likely use one to two. It does moisturize and brightens and love that it’s a Vitamin C. I had been buying a very expensive Vitamin C product and then a brightening product. What I would buy two products this Korres Oil combines them both. It’s also great for those with sensitive skin which I have. I love this product and will continue to buy it.
