Sephora Cushion Makeup Arrives for Spring 2016

sephora cushion foundation and eyeliner

Sephora Wonderful Cushion Foundation and Sephora Cushion Glossy Eyeliner arrive for Spring 2016!

Obviously cushion makeup is going to be a bigger trend for 2016 especially at drugstores considering we got a preview of L’Oreal’s new Lumi Cushion and the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc Free All-in-1 ABC Cushion Foundation at drugstores late last month.

The most interesting aspect of this collection is the new Cushion Glossy Eyeliner as this formula is much like we’ve seen from the recently released Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Cushion Eyeliner although cushion eyeliner isn’t necessarily a new idea as Etude House Lock n’ Liner was available in 2014 and more recently Stila launched Got Inked Cushion Eyeliner before anyone else in the US.

I think as we head into Summer 2016 we’ll start seeing cushion blush as well since we all know that brands take an idea and run with all over the place.

Let’s take a look at Sephora’s new cushion makeup!

Sephora Wonderful Cushion Foundation $24 (Available in 6 shades)
A fluid foundation suspended in a cushion that gives skin a natural, smooth, even finish.

Sephora Cushion Glossy Eyeliner $18
This glossy, liquid eyeliner is suspended in a cushion sponge and provides rich, pigmented color to eyes. It also includes an Angled Liner Brush for easy application!

I’d be very curious to see how the eyeliner compares to the Physicians Formula one!

You can get both Sephora Wonderful Cushion Foundation and Sephora Cushion Glossy Eyeliner now at Sephora.com and in stores soon!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. How come Stila’s the only one to make the cushion liners in shades other than black? C’mon guys – you’re not Henry Ford!! Some of us want something other than basic black!! 😀 Maybe colors will come later on? I hope? I will sure be on the lookout for them tho – maybe others will copy the idea, like L’oreal?

I still don’t “get” cushion makeup concept. What can I expect from a typical cushion formula? It seems to me that you are not getting a lot of bang for your buck with cushion makeup. So I am guessing there is something unique to the formula?

It’s popular in Korea so I’m assuming they are hopping on that train over here.
