Be a mermaid.

I’m not sure how old I was when I first saw the movie Splash starring Tom Hanks but I was impressionable enough that the idea mermaids are real has stuck with through my entire childhood and should I admit into my adulthood!? I also read The Call of the Cthulhu at an equally young, impressionable age and I’m still convinced he lays asleep somewhere in the deep, dark ocean! Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn!

No but seriously I mean the ocean covers 71 percent of the Earth’s surface and some of it is so dark and so deep that we don’t even know what lurks beneath it why would it be so impossible that there could be a mermaid swimming around out there somewhere (or that the Cthulhu is sleeping fitfully under the calming waves of the deep).

Until further proof is presented that there are in fact mermaids I present to you the new Bath & Body Works Believe Pocketbac for mermaid lovers like myself. And contrary to what you might believe mermaids smell like I can promise that Bath & Body Works guarantees a mix of pink pomelo, orange zest & sugarcane. No fishiness here! Promise!

For those who believe in the Cthulhu Mythos, sadly, there is not yet a Pocketbac for that but I can suggest grabbing yourself a bottle of Cthulhu in Love Perfume Oil.

You can get the Believe Pocketbac now at Bath & Body Works stores.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. My obsession with mermaids started in the early 2000’s, when I was about 3 or 4 I watched “The Little Mermaid” on VHS for the first time (and the sequels; and the spin-off TV series on the Disney Channel…). I was convinced mermaids were real… but what preschool-aged child wasn’t? 🙂

And then, a few years later, I watched the movie “Aquamarine” (starring Sara Paxton, JoJo, etc.)…. needless to say, that movie further increased my theory that mermaids could potentially be somewhat real.

Now as a high-school student, I no longer believe that mermaids are real… but The Little Mermaid is still my favorite classic Disney movie for some reason! … 🙂

Have you seen “Mr. Peabody and the mermaid”? That was the movie that for me as a kid made me believe in mermaids ❤

The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite faerie tales. Still is. And even tho I’m an adult, I still wish creatures like that were real.
