Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Velvet Review & Swatches

I have dry lips so I always struggle with liquid matte lipsticks but not the case with Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Velvet. This is an incredily lightweight, fluffy textured matte liquid lipstick that wears quite comfortably and weightless on my dry lips!

I’m a sucker for liquid lipsticks but most are matte and 1. I have dry lips and 2. I don’t really love matte anything. But Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Velvet can change any matte haters mind.

This is a soft, velvety liquid lipstick that hugs lips in gorgeous color without drying them out. It also happens to not be a one of those liquid lipstick formulas that doesn’t require an oil based remover to get it off. Sorry, but I really don’t like to have to remove my lipstick at the end of the night with lip and eye remover. I prefer to be able to wipe my lipstick off easily yet still have it wearing long and that’s where Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Velvet also excels!

This applies very easily on my dry lips with a smooth, soft, matte finish that has a second-skin feel that never dried my lips out nor did color fall into my natural lip lines. Color pay off proved excellent with full coverage that was light and weightless. The formula does have a rose flavor and fragrance for sensitive users. The one shade I tried wore for a solid five hours without flaking, cracking, or fading away.

If more matte lipsticks had such a delightful formula I’d be every so delighted to buy them all.
