Etude House Berry Delicious Strawberry Eau de Perfume is a new, limited edition fragrance that launched with the Etude House Berry Delicious Makeup Collection for Spring 2016.
I couldn’t resist and I did indeed purchase the Etude House Berry Delicious Strawberry Eau de Perfume for myself even though I’ve had kinda bad experiences with Korean brand fragrances before. Thing is, many Korean brands introduce fragrances that kinda smell like Charmin Toilet Paper. Ah, thanks but no thanks!
So even knowing this I decided I check out the Berry Delicious Perfume anyway as I was hoping for some Strawberry Shortcake-like experience.
I was wrong about the Charmin Toilet Paper thankfully but I was also wrong about the Strawberry Shortcake experience too!
Etude House Berry Delicious Strawberry Eau de Perfume comes in a 1 oz glass bottle decorated with little strawberries. It’s quite cute but also very childish as well and reminds me of some of the perfumes in the 80’s that were sold at drugstores. Remember Barbie had a fragrance? And Hello Kitty, Minnie Mouse, etc….It reminds me of one of those kiddie fragrances. It’s cute for sure but most people will think it looks and smells rather cheap.
I was expecting a super sweet strawberry fragrance perhaps something along the lines of a strawberry scented car air freshener but the strawberry note is actually really faint here. The top notes are strawberry, raspberry, and orange with a heart of peach, jasmine, and muguet lily and a base of musk and sandalwood. For me it smells like Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea mixed with a little bit of freesia. It’s very sweet and fruity with some calmer floral notes. It’ll likely give sensitive users a headache in all honest and smells quite cheap and childish! It does have a good linger with about three spritzes and a nice throw with a last of about six hours before reapplication is needed.
Sorry Etude House, no likey!
Etude House Berry Delicious Strawberry Eau de Perfume isn’t for me.
Anyone else try it?
