Kiko Love Elixir Face Powder7

Kiko Love Elixir Face Powder ($16 or get it for $8 today using promo code BFF) is a limited edition face powder that contains two shades of blush and bronzer. This powder launched with the Kiko Best Friends Forever Collection earlier this month and the entire collection is 50% Off now using the promo code I provided so if you want to grab this powder or some of the other cute offerings from this collection now would be a great time to do so.

As with many Kiko Cosmetics launches the Love Elixir Face Powder is beautifully presented in a heart box. The actually palette is a delightful faux leather clutch with a magnetic clasp that contains the powder and brush inside as well as a full size mirror. The compact resembles a clutch or small wallet and is very cute and quite well made. I’m always terribly impressed with the attention Kiko pays to packaging. They remind me very much of Korean and Japanese brands in the fact they keep costs low yet still manage to deliver beautifully packaged and presented makeup with excellent formulas.

This face powder is made up of three shades which are best used together (as it is difficult to apply them individually). This powder is very, very soft, very silky, and quite powdery. It does kick up a good deal of powder when a brush is stroked through it but it isn’t chalky nor dry. The formula is incredibly soft and applies with soft, matte finish on my cheeks and face without adhering to drier skin. I find the shades together, combined, create a neutral shade of dusky peach on my cheeks (although in my swatch if you look towards the first left hand swatch the shade is a more warmer pink). This isn’t terribly pigmented but it does reliever a nice, natural flush of color on my cheeks. The wear time is around six hours before showing signs of fading.

I always feel like I overdo blush so I was quite happy with the Love Elixir Face Powder. It gave me a nice, neutral flush of color without being too loud or vibrant!

Thanks to you, I found out about Kiko! If I was still living in NJ, I would be broke because there is a store in the mall, the next exit from where I used to work. I can only mail order now, LOVE the lipstick and Soft Blush.
Thanks for this review, I have been wondering about it. I have the website pulled up and ready to go!
    BTW….it looks awesome on you!

Oh my pleasure Deb! haha thankfully the store that’s “local” to me is kinda far off so I don’t get into TOO much trouble 😀 My pleasure! I hope you enjoy it and thank you 🙂 you’re too kind!

The blush is great on you! I approve! I like your lipstick, too. Very pretty colors – not too loud or garish.
