Laura Geller Peach Delight Blush-n-Brighten Blush

I recently added Laura Geller Peach Delight Blush-n-Brighten Baked Blush to my stash of Blush-n-Brighten Baked Blush. As you may know I am a huge fan of Laura Geller’s blush! It’s such a great baked blush! Smooth, easy to blend, just the right amount of radiance, pigmented, and gorgeous! It’s a formula I’ve raved in the past many a time.

But what in the heck happened?

So as of late I haven’t purchased any of Laura Geller’s QVC Today’s Special Sets. They typically contain Balance-n-Brighten Powder and as much as I love this product I simply have too many of them. So…I skip out on Laura’s very cool QVC Sets due to this. The reason I’m mentioning this is because I haven’t been following her Blush-n-Brighten Blush launches lately and I’m unsure of Peach Delight was launched in one of those sets or if it is a fairly new blush. Feel free to chime in about Peach Delight’s launch date in the comments.

Peach Delight seems fairly new and has been getting a lot of air time across the board as it arrives at Nordstrom recently as well as Ulta along with another shade called Fruit Punch.

I’m not sure what exactly happened but the formula has changed dramatically here and I hope and I pray that the issue is isolated with Peach Delight. This is a big powdery, frosty, shimmery hot mess. OMG! I’m shocked. Laura’s blushes are typically a very smooth almost ice rink-like consistency that blend beautifully onto skin. This formula was very, very soft and quite powdery. It kicked up a ton of powder when I swiped my brush into it. The formula also typically has a very beautiful radiant finish but not a chunky, crazy glittery mess like Peach Delight. Wow! I sat in my car this morning and furiously scrubbed at my cheeks after seeing how much chunky glitter was on my face in the day light. Indoors it wasn’t bad but get me out into the sun and I forget it! On top of the shimmer you’ll also get a super frosty finish which tends to adhere to my drier cheeks badly so I look like I have tend pounds of makeup on. If you have larger pores or less than smooth skin this will be a horror show! It’s a horror show for me on my drier cheeks I could just imagine if I had larger pores or bumpy skin.

Laura Geller Peach Delight

No, just no! What in the world happened here?

If you love Laura Geller’s blush I urge you to stay away from Peach Delight. This is just not the formula we know and love from the Blush-n-Brighten Blush Collection! I hope this issue is isolated with Peach Delight. Because if the entire collection has been reformulated, well, I’ll be in mourning for a very, very long time.

Anyone own Peach Delight?

What was your experience with it?

I am sad to hear this! Her blushes are one of my favorites…hopefully it’s just this shade! :/

Oh no! So sad to hear this as I’m also a major fan of LG Blushes and have a ton of them. Have been planning to get all 3 new colors (there’s a 3rd one called Honeysuckle). Well, gonna have to get ’em anyway as your peach swatch is just such a divine color, glitter or not. TFS:)

It’s a really nice shade and if you like frosty blushes grab it but if you don’t, avoid at all costs lol! It just clings so badly to drier areas and man it is a disco ball. I was surprised, this really isn’t like her normal formula!

    • Deborah

I think I would really like this if applied very lightly.

  • Mary

You’re right, it is much more powdery than her other blushes…the first time I put it on I had way too much! I’ve been using a lighter hand when applying and it’s helped a lot. It is very illuminating too, which I like-no need for highlighter! I got the fruit punch too which is actually pretty similar in color. But yes, I hope this is just a fluke! The older formula is nicer. I got the honeysuckle too, but have yet to try it. I have an obsession…

ugh the fruit punch is the same? I purchased but didn’t try yet! Oh no 🙁 sadness! I sure hope this is isolated to these shades….! I really don’t like this new formula 🙁

OMG, what the hell happened??? The swatch looks like a frosty, glittery hot mess! I bet that would make your cheeks look like a disco ball and magnify every pore and fine line. She needs to ditch this new formula fast!

I did purchase Peach Delight and Fruit Punch last week at Ulta. I wasn’t sure I was keeping them, but decided to. I’m not all that familiar with past balance and brighten blushes and am not a big fan because of the shimmer. I did have a couple of the balance and brighten blushes in the past and ended up not using them because of the shimmer. I am huge fan of peach and coral shades, so I purchased both of these. I’ve worn each of them only one time so I can’t add too much. The shades are very pretty though.

Joan! Long time no speak! Happy New Year! 🙂 I didn’t really like the formula on this one, too frosty and way too much shimmer 🙁 the original formula is a lot more smoother with radiance but not a ton of chunky shimmer!

Another blush, Tropic Hues, used to be mostly red overall is now mostly pale pink highlighter swirls. I’ve seen that a couple times in person but a online as well. I’ve noticed her popular baked Tahitian Glow Bronzer has changed with added coral& pink shimmer that was never in the product before. Seems like Laura has taken the term GLOW to a new level, but I haven’t heard anyone saying that they’re lovin’ it. I’m not buying any more of her baked Balance & Brighten, I have had two “fair” shades lately with a lot of dark swirls, and read many medium owners complain there was too many dark swirls in theirs, too. (She skips the light category) so there’s no quality control. I now just buy her solid Baked Elements line and know what I’m getting without these surprises.

You’re right, the tropical hues is super light pink. I had never tried it before, so I can’t speak to the old formula, but this works best on those of us who don’t (can’t)get tan. I typically run about the 2nd lightest shade made of any brand of foundation and the blush works really well on me. No brushing off excess or powdering over to tone it down. Sorry ladies, I think this one is only going to work if you are “color-challenged”, meaning pale as a ghost.
