Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick1

Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick ($24) is a new hydrating stick that contains natural oils such as apricot, avocado, jojoba, and orange peel oils. The stick gives you an easy way to apply a little bit of moisture anywhere you need it such as on your face, under your eyes, across a dry forehead, or down the sides of your face.

You can also use this one on your body but, well, you probably know how I feel about applying something on my body and proceeding to apply on my face. Dunno, just kinda grosses me out so yeah….! If you’re about multitasking cool but I might need one for my body and one for my face 😀

Milk Makeup’s entire line focuses on those of us who are busy and living a rather fast paced life. The inspiration behind their brand is to give you a single product that not only multitasks but gets the job it is intended for done quickly and fast. All their products are quick, easy, multitasking little demons that travel easily for getting you looking your best in five minutes or less. I love this idea because lord knows at the moment I’m super pressed for time since this is the busiest time of the year for me. If you can give me a product that gets me looking great in five minutes I’m totally your friend till the end.

Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick is a lot like the the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick but it offers a different form of moisture. This is kinda like having your favorite facial oil in a solid form. It’s not as refreshing a formula as the Cooling Water but it does provide considerably more moisture. I kinda like this because it’s a little less messy than a facial oil. Facial oils are fab but sometimes your hands get all greasy and gross after application and this eliminates that. This is also super travel friendly as it isn’t a liquid so the TSA isn’t going to give you a hard time about carrying around facial oil in your carry on bag. It’s also a nice to have around in your desk drawer or makeup bag if you need a touch of moisture through the day when your skin is starting to look flaky or dehydrated although beware it does leave behind a dewy sheen. Speaking of dewy, if you’re embracing a dewy look for Spring or Summer this actually looks incredible over or under cheek stain as it leaves behind a hint of a dewy sheen and enhances and adds depth to cheek stain. I typically look kinda greasy and oily if I go dewy but this is very, very doable.

It does have a light orange-y fragrance due to the orange peel oil and I worry that the orange peel might be cause photosensitization. I’m unsure how if orange peel oil does cause any photosensitization so I’ve been researching this now but all in all the formula is quite nice and provides light moisture to targeted areas that I need it. I wouldn’t say this stick offers the same moisture you get from a regular oil but it is a nice travel friendly and easy to use stick to have around.

For those seeking an easy to use facial oil that’s mess-free and travel friendly you might wish to check out the Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick.

It’s available now at Sephora, Sephora.com, and Urbanoutfitters.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model.
