Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector

For those seeking lighter more natural coverage this season you might just love Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector ($13.99). Available in six shades this new tinted moisturizer combines retinol, sun protection, and sheer coverage to give skin a gorgeous, natural finish.

Take a look!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector comes housed in a 1 oz tube with an attached pump for application. This has a disappointingly low SPF 20 sadly but aside from that I think the formula was fab.

This is a tinted moisturizer so don’t expect a ton of coverage here. If you’re anything like me and desire a “my skin but better” look this is the type of product that will give it to you. If you don’t need or desire a ton of coverage, again, this is an ideal product.

I find the color pay off very sheer but it has just enough pigment to even out skin tone and brighten up my entire face. It’s quite creamy but it applies with a thinner consistency as you blend. It sets to a slightly dewy, hydrated finish and gives skin a beautifully bright, fresh appearance. It’s very, very lightweight and although dewy it doesn’t look shiny or greasy on my drier skin. It absorbs easily and provides a beautiful surface for color cosmetics to adhere to. I also loved that I felt comfortable using just a tiny dusting of powder over it. Typically foundation followed by powder is a no go for my drier skin but this was so light and so moist I was able to set it quite nicely with my favorite translucent powder.

This is my ideal coverage for the Summer as I can apply it, a little powder, some mascara, and a drop of blush and I’m done. Fresh, flawless, perfect.

It does have a shorter wear on my drier skin so powder will extend that wear. At around five hours it shows signs of fading but with powder you def can get an extra two hours in at least.

For those desiring an affordable tinted moisturizer that’s lightweight and works fabulously with drier skin this is a perfect pick!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector is available now at Ulta and Ulta.com as well as other drugstores.

The retinol in this is practically useless and it’s just a marketing tactic since retinol breaksdown when exposed to the sun. I believe when you wear retinol, it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun that why it’s usually a product reserved for use at night. I would have liked this product more if it contains other antiaging combination instead of retinol.

sounds like a great antiager on paper but is a definite skip for me.

I just bought this and I love it as well. I am pairing it with the L’Oreal Blur concealer and I love the natural look. Thanks for the reviews on these, Muse, you are spot on!
FYI, Neutrogena and L’Oreal are 40% off at Rite Aid this week so I paid a total of $18 for both.

Hmmm. I wonder how different this is from the Healthy Skin Enhancer… I used to use that a lot and liked it quite well…. It has retinol and SPF 20 as well, plus it’s sheer… I wonder if they’re just repackaging the HSE as this? They sure sound alike!

A few people mentioned this to me, I’m not sure as I never tried it but possibly yes!?

    • Angelyn

I was wondering this, too! But I haven’t seen any places put the HSE on clearance so maybe not?

I just got this and it smells exactly the same as the Healthy Skin Enhancer. I guess this one would keep the retinol more active since it is in opaque packaging.

I’m super late in commenting, but I’m a much deeper shade (MAC NW45) and I got this in the med-deep….blends perfectly! I have oiler skin in my t-zone and I topped this off with a light dusting of Mac’s blot powder (my go to for no fuss days) and it works really well. I’m so excited that Neutrogena FINALLY expanded their line to include deeper skin tones. I prefer light coverage and fresh face compared to heavy coverage, so this is nice that there’s a drugstore option that is cheaper than the typical $40 plus price range I have to shell out.

How is this compared to the Bare Minerals complexion rescue? I’ve been using it and like it ok but for something so sheer I really dislike the price tag! Looking for a comparable product more in the $20 or less range so this has me intrigued.
