10 Pieces of Makeup That Make Me Happiest

We all have our makeup, beauty, skincare, and fragrance favorites. That special eyeshadow we use every single day because it makes our peepers pop or that beautiful blush that gives us a gorgeous radiant glow.

It’s hard to play favorites in the makeup world but there are certain products I tend to reach for more often than not.

Here are 10 pieces of makeup that make me the happiest.

1. Benefit Lemon Aid
Because why are you neglecting your eyelids? I conceal under my eyes but my lids need a little brightening up too and Lemon Aid does exactly that! I typically wear it all alone with curled lashes on the weekend and I look like I had 12 hours of sleep versus the mere four I got after a busy Friday night!

2. NARS Orgasm Blush
Some hate it, I love it because it is the perfect radiant peachy pink glow for my skin tone.

3. Dr Jart Ceramidin Liquid
I could potentially live without Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream but the liquid? no! Never happen. This is the very first step in my AM and PM skincare routine right after facial mist. It makes my skin soft, plump, and super moist! If you ever thought I had nice skin, blame it on this!

4. Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer
Beauty secret, I hoard Photoready Perfecting Primer because I’m scared it’ll be discontinued. I love how smooth, soft, and perfectly this preps my skin for foundation. It sets such an even, smooth surface for my foundation plus it makes it last longer!

5. Shu Uemura Curler
I’ve tried a lot of lash curlers but I always come back to my beloved Shu! It curls my lashes like no other and doesn’t pinch to boot!

6. Em The Great Cover Up Concealer
I have been faithful to this concealer since I first tried it. Don’t get me wrong I still cheat and try other concealers but 99% of the time I’m concealing my pesky under eyes circles with this soft, creamy, hydrating concealer.

7. It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation
I can happily live life with one foundation in my life and that foundation would be It Cosmetics CC+ Fluid. It’s light, it’s sheer, yet it brightens up my entire complexion, evens out my skin tone, and completely eliminates dullness.

8. NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick
I’m kinda new to this shade but I’ve used it daily since purchasing it as it is the perfect sheer, natural dusky rose nude on my lips! It’s so wearable and pretty. Plus it doesn’t give me that nude zombie lip look!

9. Urban Decay Beware Eyeshadow
I’m not a matte eyeshadow kinda girl but Urban Decay Beware Eyeshadow is an easy to apply medium warm brown that makes for simple yet elegant eye looks! I’m rarely without this shade by my side!

10. Urban Decay Perversion 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
If I had to pick one black eyeliner to use all through my makeup life it would be Urban Decay Perversion. Black, intense, creamy, and gorgeous! It’s a keeper!

    Muse, I’m totally on the Revlon photoready primer and em the great cover up train. The NARS Luster blush and the pixie bronzer are constantly repurchased because I can’t live without them.

    1. Nars sex appeal blush. Perfect flush for super pale ladies like me.
    2. Nars radiant creamy concealer in vanilla.
    3. Desigual Sex perfume. I cheated here but I neeeeeed perfume in my life, and tuberose scents get double points 😉
    4. Any kind of blue color corrector. I like the blue MUFE primer and the new Marc Jacobs stick. Blue tames redness without making me look ashy like green.
    5. Mac Viva Glam Miley Cyrus lipstick, the hot pink. Girl yesssssss. Also the matching gloss <3
    6. Nars crystal loose setting powder. It's a miracle in a jar!
    7. Nars etrusque eyeshadow. The perfect reflective gold, so pigmented and lush.
    8. Urban Decay naked 3 palette. Ugh all the colors are perfect for me.
    9. Any kind of coral lip stuff. Or coral anything. I'm just all about the coral life.
    10. Herbivore cocnut rose lip treatment. Easily the best lip balm I've ever used, though the tatcha camelia one is a close second.

    Missha Wrinkle Filler BB Cream. I’ve received so many compliments on my skin, and it’s not really that great – it’s all in the BB cream! 😀

    Oh, and also a vote for UD 24/7 pencil – I use Zero but when it runs out I’ll try Perversion next! 🙂

    Charlotte Tilbury ” First Love” blush, Bite Beauty butter cream lipstick in “Heather”, loreal infalliable pro matte gloss in “bare attraction”, dior glowing pink illuminator, Charlotte Tilbury “stoned rose ” lipstick, hourglass “mood exposure” blush, a good volumizing mascara makes me happy (but I haven’t found an HG yet), MAC loose pigment in “antique gold”, Becca aqua luminous foundation is making me happy recently as it is a new purchase I’m rather enjoying. Lancome teint idole 24 hr foundation because I love a good base for the rest of my makeup for my oily Combo skin.

    2. Real Technique Sponge. Better then the Beauty Blender.
    3. Revlon photoready primer. After reading your review on this awhile back I bought some and love it!
    4. Cover girl clump crusher mascara. My absolute favorite mascara.

    Too Faced Chocolate Soliel bronzer (love that is is more neutral and matte)
    Too Faced Shadow Insurance (love the thinner texture and tube for less waste)
    The Body Shop lip brush (Perhaps weird but it’s my favorite as an eye liner brush)
    Benefit cream shadow in Birthday Suit (first cream shadow I’ve finished – perfect glowy taupe)
    Lorac Alter Ego gloss (love love love! I think I own 8)
    Philosophy Purity Made Simple Gel (soft feel and effective)
    Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara (my all time fav out of a TON tried)

    Dr. Jart Premium Beauty Balm, Body Shop Honey Bronzer, MAC Desert Rose blush, MAC paint pot in Groundwork, NARS Audacious mascara, Bare Minerals serum concealer, Ilia tinted lip conditioner in Jump.

    I think I have to try the ceramidin liquid. I have been using the gel cream, and really like it on top of some face oil (usually sunday riley luna, but also Fresh Seaberry).

    My must have right now is Blinc mascara and some lip color.

    Dolce Vita is what they used on me during my VIB makeover, too. I haven’t bought it yet (but that’s only because I have waaaaaay too many other lipsticks I’ve barely touched.)

    #5 Tarte CC Matte Palette *this has everything I need for a simple or vintage look
    #6 Cover FX anti-aging Primer *it’s the best primer for my dry skin, I ♡ it!
    #7 Inglot Lip Paint #60 *it looks good all on its own and it smells so good
    #8 Benefit They’re Real mascara *gives me the volume & length that I desire
    #9 Pond’s Crema S nourishing moisturizer *I recently started using this and I am enjoying be cool feeling on my skin and the scent
    #10 It Cosmetics CC cream *this is my favorite for Spring & Summer because it makes me look like I have a healthy light tan, it’s perfect for a light makeup look

    10 makeup items that currently make me happiest:

    1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance. My eyelids are so oily, I can’t wear eyeshadow without primer. This is my favorite, though I do like Urban Decay Primer Potion, too.
    2. Urban Decay Urban Spectrum Palette: My favorite eyeshadow palette of all time, and I own a ton of eye palettes. The colors, the quality, the packaging…perfection.
    3. Milani Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove. This is the most flattering shade of blush on me, ever.
    4. MAC La Vie En Rouge. This is the most flattering shade of lipstick on me, ever.
    5. BareMinerals Original Foundation SPF 15 in Fair. No matter how oily my skin is, or how often it changes due to hormones, this foundation always works. It doesn’t need a primer, either.
    6. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. I’m totally with you, Muse! The best black eyeliner EVER. Holy Grail Status.
    7. e.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer – Oil Free in Porcelain. It’s the only concealer that doesn’t melt off my skin AND it actually has a light enough shade for me!
    8. e.l.f. HD Powder in Translucent. It makes my skin look amazing. I find that it’s an exact dupe for the MUFE version, only e.l.f.’s is cheaper and doesn’t have the heavy fragrance.
    9. Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Collection. Perfect shades for eyes and cheeks if you’re fair-skinned, and the packaging is to die for. Firebird lipstick is stunning, and one of my current favorites.
    10. Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Unicorn Tears. It’s the perfect topper. It looks beautiful over everything I’ve tried so far. It’s pretty nice on it’s own, too. Plus…Unicorns!

    1. Nude by Nature primer – perfect for eyelids as well as face.
    2. Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in light porcelain – the only foundation I have found that really matches my skin – light porcelain with pink undertones.
    3. My Natio Sunkissed blush mosaic palette – with shades of peachy coral.
    4. Naked 2 – just loving it
    5. Guerlain Les Gris eye shadow quad – for the best blues around
    6. Clinique Black Honey mascara
    7. Cetaphil Moisture cream – when all else fails…
    8. Milani Colour Statement Lipsticks in Bronze Metal and Candied Toffee for that beautiful bronze, brown gold lipstick
    9. Black Jack intensive hand cream – the best.
    10. Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks in Untainted Spice and In Style Sienna – a beautiful burgandy/brown.
