Clinique Forevermore Pressed Powder Compact

Clinique Forevermore Pressed Powder Compact ($75), did you just gulp at that price tag? Ahem, as I was saying Clinique Forevermore Pressed Powder Compact for Spring 2016 is a new lightweight blotting powder that absorbs oil and shine while leaving behind a flawless matte finish.

The price? That would be for the elegant, silver keepsake compact that it comes in for special occasions like wedding!

Pretty yes, but I’m not quite sure I’m ready to splurge $75 on Clinique anything quite yet.

Are you?

Available now at nordstrom.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. It is pretty…and it looks like there’s a little indentation on the side where you might be able to replace the product, so maybe they’ll release a refill? I know that if NARS sold a refillable compact for their light reflecting powder I would be alllll over that. 🙂

haha right? I think it’s a special bridal compact thus the price?

I thought for a second that had to be a typo! $75 for a pressed powder is crazy…especially from Clinique!

It’s like paying $20 for something at the drugstore. No! I love Clinique, but that’s too high.

The dull thud you just heard was my jaw hitting the floor!! SEVENTY FIVE dollars for Clinique?! I. Don’t. Think. So. For that kind of money it had been apply all my makeup for me, and maybe vaccuum the floors!! It’s just powder, for feck’s sake!!! Incredible….

They had an almost identical one many years ago. Estee Lauder, which makes Clinique, always had beautiful refillable compacts. In the not too distant past, several companies had them and it was quite the mark of prestige to have one. With all the interest in DIY palettes and environmentally conscious beauty products, I’ve often wondered why they haven’t come back in vogue.

I’m with the majority. $75 for a Clinique powder, I’m gonna have to say I’m passing on that. I agree With the commentor, Katherine , that’s like dior, chanel and Guerlain pricing. I am curious on the ingredients on this powder and wonder where it’s made to see if the price is justifiable. If I see it at sephora or Macy’s or nordstrom, I’ll be honest, I want to check out the compact too.

LOL, they’re insane! I mean, it would be one thing if Clinique was a high-end company like Guerlain or Givenchy, but it isn’t. Clinique is the make-up brand that high school and college kids graduate to after drug-store make-up. Its got some good stuff, especially some of the products introduced in the past couple of years, but most of the people buying Clinique aren’t likely to spend $75 on a single item of make-up.
