Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom Review
Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom ($16.95) is one of those rare lip balm that actually hydrate lips versus sitting around doing nothing at all. This herb-infused balm is available in six “flavors” with a nourishing formula that softens, smooths, and adds a good deal of shine to lips with blend of oils such as sunflower seed oil plus vitamin E.
Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom comes housed in a La Mer-like packaging with a chic and simple white base pot and a mirrored lid. The pot holds 0.25 oz of lip balm for $16.95 and is available in six flavor variations. My Citrus Lemongrass formula had a bright, sunny lemon-y scent with a hint herbs in the background. It tasted very authentic tart lemons and was very pleasant in flavor and fragrance although it might not be a pick for sensitive users due to the fragrance and flavor.
Initially this formula is slightly disappointing as it feels like a very light, thin balm. It has a denser top layer but as you press into it the formula becomes a lot softer and a lot slicker on lips. The texture is a little waxy at first but as you apply it melts down into a soft, moist formula that behind a glossy finish on lips. It wears very comfortably on my dry lips and leaves them feeling very soothed so I’m not tempted to lick or bite at them because they are itchy and dry. After it wears away my lips feel lightly hydrated and soothed. I wore it for five days straight when my lips were chapped and red and it helped heal them nicely over that time.
Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom is one of my new favorite lip balms and I will be purchasing more of these. I like how soothing these are for my lips! I like the light non-sticky, non-waxy consistency and adore the high shine and moist finish they leave behind!
Lovely!
