H&M Beauty High Impact Eye Color Eyeshadow

H&M Beauty High Impact Eye Color Eyeshadow ($6.99) was released in a huge range of colors earlier last Fall when H&M relaunched their makeup collection in stores. Thus far H&M has not disappointed in terms of quality and formula when it comes to their very budget friendly line of color cosmetics, just try their gorgeous lipstick as proof!

Recently, I decided I’d explore their High Impact Eye Color because, well, high impact anything sounds good to me!

H&M Eyeshadow

H&M Beauty High Impact Eye Color comes housed in a 0.07 oz plastic circular compact with a mirrored gold face plate that has a window to view the color inside. It’s pretty simple packaging and I’m not a big fan of it since it reminds me of Milani’s packaging (which I dislike) and it tends to scratch up and collect fingerprints like a magnet.

I only tried one shades which was Palm Springs but from what I’ve seen from it I can honestly say I’d consider trying more. I wouldn’t say these are a mind blowing, awe aspiring eyeshadow formula but for quickie eyeshadow looks they prove a nice little shadow to have around. I find the formula very, very soft and it does kick up a good deal of powdery when a brush is swirled into it. It also had a bit of fall out on my cheeks during application.

Palm Springs is a sandy dirty gold with gold micro shimmer that had fair pigmentation. The color is ideal for no nonsense looks and applies very easily as I said above. Honestly, if all the shades have this super soft silky consistency I’d be quite fine with that! I do think they are an eyeshadow formula that won’t play well with others as the softer texture might prove a pain to blend out with other shades as you’re either going to blend them completely away or you’ll end up with muddiness.

H&M eyeshadow

All in all H&M Beauty High Impact Eye Color are great for simple, quick looks but these aren’t going to appease lovers of super pigmented eyeshadow. I liked them but wouldn’t say the name lives up to the formula however, as I get older I appreciate more simple eye looks and this formula seems to deliver it easily enough!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I like that shade on you; it’s very brightening. I have to check these out whenever I am near an H&M.

thank you! I liked it too! It isn’t the most amazing formula in the work but for no nonsense looks totally a score!

Muse you should try other shades! I’ve tried the other ones and the metallic and mattes are really nice IMO! 🙂

I wish they would actually sell this stuff in-store (consistently). There are 3 H&M’s within a one hour radius of me and they have no cosmetics whatsoever.

I got a couple of these the minute I saw them in the store near me (I’m lucky because another store in town doesn’t carry any cosmetics at all). I loved them but something in them gave me an allergic reaction, so I can’t continue using them. They were easy to apply, the color stayed put on me and I liked the shiny finish of the ones I’d gotten. I’m sorry I can’t wear them because I liked them. 🙁
