L’Oreal La Vie En Rose Colour Riche Collection Exclusive for Spring 2016

L'Oreal La Vie En Rose Colour Riche Collection Exclusive

The L’Oreal La Vie En Rose Colour Riche Collection Exclusive for Spring 2016 is a collection of L’Oreal Sheer Matte Colour Riche Lipsticks and Colour Rich Nail Polish shades in a shade of pink for a range of 8 shades to flatter 8 different skin tones.

You’re likely already quite familiar with this type of collection from L’Oreal as they’ve released two other collections like this entitled Pure Reds Collection Exclusive, Pure Reds Collection Exclusive Lipsticks, L’Oreal Privee Signature Nudes Nail Polish, and L’Oreal Privee Signature Nudes Colour Riche Lipsticks.

I’ve really enjoyed these collections in the past and have found some keeper lipstick shades from them.

This collection has eight celebrities promoting the collection all of which have a different skin tone. L’Oreal named each lipstick after the celebrity it represents and created a color that went along with that particular celebrity’s skin tone. I’m not one for limiting my shade choices by skin tone or hair color but this does make things easier to find a shade that would most flatter your hair, eye, and skin color.

Shades include:

  • Julianne
  • Eva
  • J-Lo
  • Doutzen
  • Liya
  • Blake
  • Zoe
  • Frieda

John Legend is in the promo but he nor Chrissy has a shade! Sadness!

I didn’t pick up a single shade. None of them wear wearable pinks for me. They are quite bright and almost neon-like! I typically go for more brown based pinks or dusky pinks! These are very bright and vibrant so if that’s your pink of choice you’ll likely these.

L’Oreal La Vie En Rose Colour Riche Collection Exclusive is launching now at drugstores.

Did you see the collection?

Pick any up?

    A) I’m super excited for these! The concept of a sheer matte is intriguing. I’m sure I’ve used something similar before, but it’s hard for me to think about a recent matte that isn’t packed with pigment.

    B) As much as I love John Legend, I’m so confused as to what he’s doing here haha. Wouldn’t it have been amazing if they had used him to produce and promote a matte lip balm with this collection?! I’m seeing a lot more guys get involved with skincare and whatnot so it would be wonderful for L’Oreal to jump ahead of the pack and really shake things up in the drugstore scene.

I don’t like the colors otherwise I’d be on these. They are a bit too cool for me. LOL I know right?! And without his wife! YES YES YES! That would be awesome! L’Oreal would gain a huge fan if they actually did something like that…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s see… I have (and absolutely *love*) Frieda’s Nude & Zoe’s Red, and coloring-wise, I am closest to, say, Kat von D (for reference), LOL! Obviously, none of these women are representative of us fair-skinned, dark-featured women, but I don’t limit myself. However, pink really isn’t a color I go for, anyway, but I’m still interested in taking a look at these.

Honestly, I like pink but more warmer pinks! Dusky roses, dusky pinks, brown based pinks, not these neon pinks 😀

Actually, the shades will appear LIGHTER on your lips, than the actual tube, because they’re a SHEER MATTE, with a PEARL FINISH, like the ROSE PETALS itself. ☺…..Now if only NAOMI’S PINK were included in the UNITED STATES ( Which is a LIGHT PINK ROSE. ).

What store did you see them in? I went to Walgreens and CVS today, no joy.

Finally the pinks are out! Though every time I find the Pure Color collections, it’s so picked over and there’s usually one left and it’s used. I see some I might like though!

I was intrigued by the sheer matte aspect of this, but I’m not really a fan of pink, especially bright pinks. That said, I spotted these in Bed Bath and Beyond and picked up the Eva shade (even though I’m a pale brunette, and sometimes red — but not Julianne pale or Julianne red). I love that one. It really is a sheer matte, and it’s kind of a pinky-peachy-nude, though it can get patchy if your lips aren’t in good condition. Then I found these in Walgreens with $2 coupons and saw the Julianne there so I got that. It’s paler — looking almost like cotton candy pink in the tube — but it is kind of sheer, too, so it just makes my pale lips look a bit brighter. The others look really bright in the tubes, with the exception of the J.Lo which probably is more of a berry. I haven’t liked a L’Oreal lipstick in ages (the nudes and the reds, oddly, from the companion collections, never appealed to me). Go figure!

Now you have me curious Heidi! I saw Eva’s shade but I was like oh no can’t wear it. Maybe I need to have another look! 😀

  • Kary

Lovely colors! But all I can think is: Why is John Legend doing there? Lol

    • Isabella Muse

haha likewise! I mean I don’t mind he looks sweet hanging with all those chicks but why he is there is rather puzzling! ;-D They needed some eye candy dude to appear in the promo!?

  • Joanna

I think John Legend is hanging out because of the commercial! He sings La Vie en Rose while he plays the piano and all the ladies are hanging around in their pink lipsticks… guess he made it into the print ad too! That said, I really like a couple of these! Will be on the hunt for them up here in Canada.

    • Isabella Muse

Oh I didn’t see the commercial for these! That makes more sense!

  • Rebecca

You might like Eva’s Pink, which is actually a tea rose kind of shade and not bright at all. I notice it was sold out in the pics above.

  • Edie

    Late to this!

It’s too bad you did not try these- Eva’s Pink and JLo’s pink are rich warm mauve-y pinks that work well with a variety of skintones. Liya’s pink is richly bright and very pretty. The nail slicks were perfect for summer going into fall.
