Makeup and Beauty I Wish Existed

Makeup and Beauty I Wish Existed

I have a long list of makeup and beauty I wish existed. One of the top makeup tools I wish existed was the makeup device Leeloo used in the Fifth Element. She held a little black unit up to her eyes, pressed a button, and BAM her eye makeup was applied instantly. Eyeliner, eyeshadow, the works with a simple click of a button!

Other makeup and beauty I wish existed….

Face oils are super popular but why hasn’t anyone taken the idea further and created an oil just for eyes? I’d buy it! Something loaded up with brilliant moisturizing ingredients that’s created exclusively for under eye use! Makes sense doesn’t it!?

How about a body cream that I only had to apply yearly? I know, weird, but I hate to apply body cream because it makes me all sticky and tacky. I want one that I can use once a year that would give me moisturizing benefits every day without the need for reapplication.

How about permanent foundation? Apply it once and never have to apply it ever again! We’d all be flawless, all the time without the need to apply foundation daily to achieve the look. Of course, this has a slight hiccup as I tend to tan easily in the Summer so I have to switch up my shades in the Summer versus the Winter. Damn.

And finally, why hasn’t anyone created a bot that can remove makeup at the end of the night. I wanna go home, flop on my bed, and have a little robot fly around my face to remove my eye makeup, my foundation, my blush, etc…so I can get to bed faster!

What are some makeup and beauty picks you wish existed?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Right now I only wait for Clinique to come up with Nail Pops and I’m set 😀

Try to use pure jojoba oil under eyes. It’s superb! And for a body cream that is definitely not sticky there is Nivea Care. Do you have that in the US yet?

    • Isabella Muse

haha! Pop everything from Clinique 😀 We do have a variety of nivea products here 😀 Thanks for the rec on jojoba oil!

Well if you think about it Nail Pops would just be the next logical (and hopefully inevitable ) step 🙂

By the way I’m loving the Cream Lid Pop 🙂 it’s just as wussy as I like eyeshadow to be LOL, but applied nicely and gives a lovely satin glow. I just put a wash on the moving part of eyelid, a little bit on lower lid and inner corner of eye. Brings light and a warm golden sort of glow to my green eyes.

Survives the day pretty well too, with a not so fancy (Yves Rocher) eye shadow primer under (and my lids are oil slick). It definitely didn’t melt away or crease. I really like how it makes me look fresh without really looking made up.

Based on your review I somehow expected it to be hard in the pan, so I started digging away with a sponge tip applicator just to notice that it is soft and buttery! 😀 Anyway, awesome purchase for me <3

I am right there with ya on the bot to remove makeup! I don’t know why, but I have just gotten to where I think it’s an annoyance to do that! 😀 I don’t wear waterproof anything so it’s not like it’s a huge, timeconsuming task, but it still annoys me! WT Heck? 😀

Lemme know if you make any progress inventing that bot, Muse! I’ll help you patent that bad boy – we’ll be kajillionaires! 😀

    • Isabella Muse

haha! it isn’t really annoying until you’re out late you know? if you come home early it’s actually relaxing removing your makeup! But last weekend I got home at 4 in the morning and it was like “OMG I don’t want to remove my makeup I just wanna go to sleep!” that’s when I wish I had a bot lol! LOL deal!

I’ve often wished that I could be dipped in some kind of vat that would do my hair and makeup and general bathing for a week or two. Kind of like a shellac manicure for your entire body.

Also, have you tried the DHC Cleansing Oil? I use it everywhere — including my eyes.

    • Isabella Muse

haha! now that sounds interesting Dora! 😀 Yes, I have! Good stuff!

Does Soap & Glory Body Butter leave you sticky too? I am a super dry gal and I always had problems with body moisturizers – either I would put on what seemed to be the right amount and then I was dry and itchy an hour later, or I would put on too much and later on I could rub my skin and the excess product would roll off in little icky beads (GROSS!). Soap & Glory’s product is the only one that leaves me feeling properly moisturized for long enough AND not feel gross or rub off later. 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

Oh I love their body butter! It’s quite lovely! Not tacky either which is good. yup! that’s typically the drill with me, either not enough moisture or I end up feeling dry later on :-/

I dream of a mini roller brush that I would roll over my eyes n its on ( blended and all) and one for the face too. All you have to do is change up the colors with a button. I’ll keep dreaming. 🙂

I could totally get on board with some time of conveyor system like in the Jetsons. You walk through and you come out with full makeup and your hair done.

Or that device in the original Total Recall that changed your nail color with just a touch?

  • Lorraine

I was just talking about that thing from the 5th element the other day! I wish we had that.
There was a machine just like that but for nails in another movie, how cool would THAT be?
And yes ugh to removing makeup!

    • Isabella Muse

Total Recall! I would be lazy doing my nails if I can just tap and get a different color lol!

  • Alecto

Yes! Instant makeup removal! I don’t care what form it takes: a bot, a reverse Leeloo makeup applicator, a well-muscled man in swim trunks armed with a bottle of oil and wet washcloth. Anything! It needs to happen! Can’t stand taking my makeup off at the end of the day! [grump]

I’d love something that would let me change my hair color the way that device changed nail color in Total Recall.

    One for eye color too!

Also, a painless at-home appliance that I could run down my skin that would cause the hair to fall out everywhere I used it. I’m not being greedy, it doesn’t even have to be permanent — I’d settle for something that only removed the current growth of hair and had to be used every couple of weeks. I know there are at-home laser appliances out there now, but you have to shave first, they’re inconsistant, and they *sting*!

    • Isabella Muse

LOL I like the well muscled man with swim trucks and oil 😀
