Milk Makeup Coverage Duo

Milk Makeup Coverage Duo ($30) is a new, unique concealing duo that contains a marshmallow cream concealer as well as a liquid concealer in one portable tube for easy travel.

When this originally launched I thought that it was a foundation and concealer duo but after reading the details I realize it was a concealing duo. More concealer, as far as this beauty junkie is concerned, is a good thing.

I love quick, easy to apply makeup especially on the weekends when I don’t want to wear a ton of makeup! This is where Milk Makeup Coverage Duo comes into play. This isn’t a product that will provide hard coverage but it is a product that does well at providing quick, easy, light coverage that brightens and looks natural and dare I say incredible.

The duo comes housed in a compact tube which has an attached rollerball for application of the liquid concealer and at the bottom of the unit you’ll find a little well built right into the unit which has a tiny transparent lid that you can flip open to reveal the marshmallow cream concealer. You get which is 0.33 oz Liquid Concealer and 0.08 oz Marshmallow Cream Concealer.

They promote the liquid for use under eyes and around the sides of your face where as the marshmallow cream is for targeted areas such as to cover up blemishes. I’ll admit I used the liquid as a lightweight foundation and it worked a treat. I just rolled some down the sides of my face, blended outward, and done! I was looking great. The liquid has a second skin-like texture that sets to a smooth, satiny finish. I worried it would be too dry for my drier skin but I had absolutely no problems with it adhering to drier areas on my face. It really brightened up my entire complexion. I also tried it under my eyes but the formula is a bit drier here and does tug to blend out. Although a little bit of a pain to blend out easily it still managed to remain smooth and quite long wearing without adding further dryness or creeping under my eyes. It also brightened up the area considerably. Coverage runs sheerer though so if you have harder to conceal dark circles this isn’t going to do the job but if you’re looking for light, perfecting coverage this does the trick nicely.

The marshmallow cream concealer sets to a satin finish as well but again it isn’t drying nor does it creep into finer lines. This was a little smoother during application under my drier eyes and again, I got the same brightening effect. I just loved how both the liquid and the cream hugged my skin and looked so very smooth and natural. I do wish the formula was a touch more hydrating but I’m not complaining too much because all in all the second skin coverage is truly flawless.

Milk Makeup Coverage Duo is the perfect duo for light, natural coverage! I was very impressed with the long wearing, lightweight coverage this offered and although it isn’t one of my most pigmented concealers I was still quite happy with the coverage it did provide and really liked how natural and brightening it looked under my eyes and on my skin!

This looks awesome, but sadly, even the light shade looks too dark for my fair skin! Maybe in the summer I can try this out, because it looks awesome!

I’ve been looking forward to trying the Milk line. Now I’m even more excited about it. This sounds really promising.
