Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow

I recently Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow ($35) is fluid eyeshadow designed to brighten and awaken eyes with an anti-aging formula that tightens, firms, and gives eyes a smooth, soft finish.

As a fan of Perricone MD No Makeup Makeup (I can’t be without my No Mascara Mascara, No Blush Blush, and No Lipstick Lipstick like evers) I’m unsure how No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow passed me by. I didn’t even know it existed until recently when a reader asked if I ever tried it.

I instantly purchased it because I felt for sure I’d love it since the shade quite reminded me of my favorite Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Sand Dunes, Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow in Beige Mousseline, and Urban Decay Beware Matte Eyeshadow. I really love sandy beiges or lighter tans on my eyes as they not only give me a brightening effect but also that no makeup makeup look for days I just don’t wanna apply a ton of eyeshadow and eye makeup.

I was hoping Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow would be the same.

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow1

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow comes housed in a 0.3 oz glass jar with a sponge tip applicator for application. This is pricey at $35 but I wouldn’t mind at all if I ended up liking the formula. Plus you need to take the fact that they combine makeup and skincare into the No Makeup Makeup product line so the formula apparently is an anti-aging one that firms and tightens eyes with continued use. I can’t say if the anti-aging ingredients benefit me as I haven’t used the eyeshadow that long.

Sadly, I was left feeling badly about this purchase which is abnormal since I really enjoy the No Makeup Makeup Collection!

This is a liquid eyeshadow that applies and blends easily on lids with a moist to the touch formula that sets to a soft, satiny finish on lids. I had no problems with application nor did I have issues with the wear. My problem with the product was how sheer it was. Out of the bottle I felt sure I’d like this color as it was a light, soft tan. Sadly, it looks like I applied absolutely nothing on my lids no matter how much I built. I realize the idea of No Makeup Makeup is to create a natural look but this truly does nothing it promises. No brightening effect and absolutely no color on my lids. It’s just rather a sad, sheer eyeshadow that isn’t worth it’s $35 price tag due to the fact it contains zero pigment.

I was really excited about trying this as I was hopeful I could create a nice doe eye look using it which would be a sheer, brightening layer of this followed by lots of mascara to lenghten my lashes. But nope, no luck! It’s like I applied clear eyeshadow on my lids.

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow is one of the first No Makeup Makeup products I didn’t like from the Perricone MD line. If they added a touch more pigment I’d probably be over the moon with this purchase but as it stands now I have to say I hated it and felt completely disappointed in the results!

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow is available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

How was the staying power? Can it be used as a base or primer? I have super oily lids and nothing stays crease-free for long. I use Smashbox’s 24 Hr primer and UDPP in Sin, then my regular shadows over those 2. It works fairly good that way, but not good enough. 🙁

I’m not sure lol because it’s barely noticable so I didn’t notice it creasing. I didn’t try it as a base to be honest! I don’t think it’s really formulated for oily lids, seems to be more about drier lids. I don’t think you need to spend $35 on this to use as a base though!

I adore your blog and trust you completely! Thanks for saving me some money as I’ve been eyeing this for a while. Going to spend my money on the other eyeshadows you mentioned instead!
