Milk Makeup has introduced a new Spray Nail Polish in three shades for $12 a can exclusively on urbanoutfitters.com and China Glaze has an upcoming Spray On Nail Polish as well.

So, next big beauty trend? Definitely Spray On Nail Polish!

What is it, how do you use it?

As per the name spray on nail polish is exactly that. Housed in an aerosol can this polish can be misted all over your nails (yes, even on the skin of your hands) and after you simple peel away the excess that might have gotten on your skin. Done! From what I’ve been reading the results aren’t exactly perfect but for non-nail girls like myself, Spray On Nail Polish is a dream come true.

Now this isn’t exactly a brand new, innovative idea! Nails, Inc launched their own Spray On Nail Polish a few months ago and before that Spray Perfect was making the rounds at 3AM with infomercials telling you how their Spray On Polish was going to give you a perfect manicure.

It’s only a matter time before this trend hits drugstores HARD! So expect Spray On Nail Polish to be a heavy duty trend come, Summer.

Whether the trend actually lasts remains to be seen. Could be as fleeting as hair chalking who knows?

The important thing to remember is most serious nail polish collector’s and users will likely snub this trend or, at least, I suspect they will.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I hear there is a whole entire line of airbrush makeup available at some Targets now. Foundation and blush and leg spray (kind of like the sally Hansen one ) . The company is called “barely sheer” . Tati from glam life guru on youtube didn’t give it the best review. So you’re right, I think airbrush anything is gonna hit drugstores hard too ! I’m kind of intrigued tho as I’ve never tried any sort of airbrush makeup before.

I have my doubts it’ll look as good as if you applied it with a brush!

Yep, I love actual nail polish so this is never happening, LOL! (Another reason is I have read the fumes are terrible!)

I think if you do your nails often and you collect polishes and such this is probably a bit of a joke! For people like me, who don’t wear polish often, it seems like an easy way to apply!

I’m kinda excited. I cannot paint my own nails. Well, I can but it looks like a 3 year old did it! I’ll definitely try it out once more colors are available.

I saw a video for the China Glaze one. It looked pretty cool, but — as you say — I already own a bunch of polishes and know how to do my nails. Also, it looked like you might need a special base and top coat — so that would be annoying/might stop me from purchasing.

The finish doesn’t look very good. Plus it seems you still need to apply a base and top coat. I sporadically do my nails, but I think I’ll stick with regular nail polish.

Oh, wow! I have my nails done so its not going to be a item I would look into. But its interesting to watch.
