Pixi H20 Skindrink Review & Swatches
Pixi H20 Skindrink ($22) is one of my favorite products from the Pixi Skintreats Skincare Collection. But this comes as no great surprise considering I love Pixi’s H20 Skintint! H20 Skintint has such a great formula that retains moisture and leaves skin with a my skin but better look. H20 Skindrink basically takes away the tint portion of the formula and gifts us with a waterdrop formula that keeps skin soft and hydrated all day.
Here’s the deets!
Pixi H20 Skindrink is actually made in Korea which after trying the formula didn’t surprise me in the least as it felt a lot like Korean skincare products I’ve used in the past. Asian beauty and skincare is absolutely exploding stateside lately and many brands like It Cosmetics for example, are releasing innovative products that are in fact made in Korea.
Pixi H20 Skindrink is a waterdrop formula that might be familiar to you if you’ve used Dr Jart Waterfuse Beauty Balm. The texture and consistency is very much like the new Garnier Skinactive Miracle Anti-Fatigue Wake Up Hydra Gel Moisturizer. It kind of resembles a silicone primer but once applied to your face it literally bursts into a thin, water texture that absorbs easily into skin.
It’s very refreshing and feels cooling when applied. The encapsulated water formula actually isn’t super hydrating at first application but as the day progresses you’ll notice how much smoother and softer your skin remains as this does a good job retaining moisture. It contains glycerin that adds moisture and retains it and aloe vera to sooth skin. For sensitive users, it does have a fresh, aquatic fragrance that disappears fairly fast once applied.
All in all Pixi H20 Skindrink actually works great as a daily moisturizer for all skin types. It’ll be a great companion for the Summer when you want a quick to absorb, lightweight moisturizer that hydrates but doesn’t leave skin feeling heavy or looking shiny and oily.
I liked this one a lot!
