Minnie's Inner Glow Luminizing Blush

Sephora Minnie’s Inner Glow Luminizing Blush ($22) is a new, limited edition luminizing blush that launched with the Sephora Disney Minnie Beauty Makeup Collection. This blush was surprisingly one of the first things that sold out from the collection. I’m not sure why, but this surprised me.

I think I expected the compact mirror or the eyeshadow palette to sell out but nope, the blush went first.

Did you purchase any of the collection for yourself yet?

Here’s my thoughts on the blush!

Sephora Minnie’s Inner Glow Luminizing Blush comes housed in a gold and red box decorated with cute black polka dots. There’s a tiny Minnie ear charm that’s pretty much seen across the board on every single piece in this collection. I’ve suggested using it as a phone charm or zipper pull! The compact is the same design but reverse in the fact that the polka dots are gold now with the background being black. The compact is lightweight but still very cute with a little silhouette of Minnie’s ears peeping from the bottom and the blush itself features an embossment of Minnie’s ears as well. Although I have to say the Etude House Minnie Touch of Blusher was a little cuter in design since it featured a full size image of Minnie on the blush!

Minnie’s blush is a little confusing as it’s described as a “soft luminizer” as well as a “highlighting blush”. I guess it isn’t really sure which it wants to be. Personally, it’s more of a highlighter on my skin tone versus a blush. The shade is a pretty, warm peachy orange but the pigmentation is very, very sheer. It adds a bit of a shimmery sheen on my cheeks with a hint of color but it’s very difficult to see the color. The texture is soft, silky yet a bit dry but it doesn’t stick to drier areas on my face. However, it isn’t exactly soft and smooth on the finish so it will likely emphasize pores if you have them. It wore for about five hours on me before the shimmery sheen wore away.

I was a bit disappointed! I was hoping the color would be like the new Becca Tigerlily Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush but sadly, the pigment was lacking here. You might to use it over or under blush to give it a little bit of a shimmery sheen because as a highlight it does work best but as a blush it won’t necessarily be visible on many different skin tones.
