E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lip Tints

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lip Tint ($5) is a new lightweight, sheer natural looking lipgloss that launched in three shade selections all of which are loaded up with Vitamin A & E, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Grape Oil, and Olive Oil.

I quickly snapped these up when they launched on E.L.F.’s website because I feared they’d sell out quickly! Last year, the E.L.F. Summer 2015 Collection included a Lip Tint which sold out fast and never came back in stock. I’m not sure if these new Lip Tints are the same formula but in new shades. Either way, the idea of a natural, sheer lipgloss was quite tempting but these are so much more!

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lip Tint

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lip Tint ($5) is actually anything but sheer. These are quite delightfully pigmented! Each tint comes housed in a squeeze tube with an attached slanted plastic applicator. The applicator is a bit messy and awkward to use as it didn’t quite fit the contour of my lips well plus it seemed to distributed the glossy in a rather gooey mess on my lips. The best solution for this is to build slowly!

But aside from the applicator the formula was fantastic although a warning if you dislike thicker glosses this might not be the formula for you.

I think these are rather grossly misrepresented! E.L.F. calls them sheer and natural but they are actually full color lipglosses which a thick, creamy, moisturizing formula. If you’re looking for pigment, these have it. The consistency of the gloss is more like a liquid lipstick of sorts as it is quite thick and gooey but not unpleasantly sticky or tacky. They wear for a solid four hours and leave my lips pleasantly hydrated through that wear with gorgeous color pay off. They do have a sweet vanilla flavor that I thought was pleasant but sensitive users might not love it.

One thing that deserves mentioning is these kind of squeeze out separated (as you can see in my swatches) but the oils and color do combine once on lips. I’d recommend giving them a brisk shake before squeezing and that will address any separation issues you have!

I loved these. The shades are lip enhancing and very easy to wear, the formula keeps my drier lips moist and plump looking, and the price tag was pretty darn pleasant as well.

All in all, E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lip Tint are beautiful that’s for sure but far from bare! These are a lovely little lipgloss for a small price tag!

Thanks Muse. They look pretty on you. What are the ounces of each tube? Thanks.

Thanks Maria, I’m not sure I’m at work and don’t have the box with me at the moment. Maybe it on their site?

I dislike the applicator but the colors are so lovely!

Nice! I’d love to try them, but I hate, hate, hate squeeze applicators. I might have to try them anyway, though, since they’re not exactly expensive!

I think these were intended to be in that 2015 “Beautifully Bare” collection. They had a lip tint but it was never in stock during the initial release and they ended up removing the listing.
