Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil ($14) is a new, limited edition nourishing, shiny lip oil available in yummy coconut, vanilla, and grapefruit flavors that launched with the Kiko Lovegrove Collection for Summer 2016.
Lip oils are becoming increasingly popular at the moment aren’t they? Lancone’s new Juicy Shakers and Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment immediately come to mind but Clarins also has a formula that’s been around a while now. I do wonder if more brands will introduce more lip oils as we head deeper into Summer!
Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil (0.18 oz) kind of remind me of the Napoleon Perdis Siren Lip Gloss that released a few years ago and the gorgeous Chanel Brilliant Lip Shines from the Chanel Les Pop-Up de Chanel. The have that transculent gel-like look both those lipgloss formulas had.
These lip oils are formulated with jojoba oil, shea butter, wild mango butter and vitamin E. The formula is a thin glossy consistency with a high shine finish. They do have the texture of an oil but it isn’t something that makes your lips feel slippery or oily. They feel very nourishing and lightly hydrating on my lips. They wear time is fairly short at around an hour so reapplication is nesscary throughout the day. I find even in that short time they soften my lips very nicely! But if you have severe drier lips these likely won’t heal them. They do apply completely clear so unless you really love this formula there’s no need to grab all three of the shades available.
These are nice when you need a little moisture and shine on your lips throughout the day. I know I’m one of those people that typically doesn’t reapply my lipstick or gloss when it wears away but I do like a bit of moisture and shine on my bare lips and that’s where these come in handy!
They are quite tasty. The flavors are subtle so sensitive users might not feel to bothered by them!
Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil are a nice little treat for lightweight moisture or shine!
