Lush Skin’s Shangri La for the Dry Skin Ladies and Lads

Lush Skin's Shangri La 2

I used to be a hardcore Lush skin care fan girl. I admit I’ve cheated a lot in recent years. But I always come back to my favorites and one of those favs is most definitely Lush Skin’s Shangri La Moisturizer which appeared in on my Best of Lush list from way back in 2010.

It’s a funny thing as I recall when Lush Skin’s Shangri La was $29.95 but it is now $50 bucks. But the formula still remains great so I continue to buy it! Although meant for mature skin I’ve always found it the perfect formulation for my dry, tired skin.

Skins Shangri-La is one of Lush’s thickest moisturizer so I tend to use it in the evening only as it does leave my skin a bit shiny. It contains jojoba oil as well as aloe vera extract and apparently even vodka. It smells like fruit loops to me so beware, it does have a rather heavy fragrance.

The formula is very, very thick and very, very creamy. I tend to slather it on big time when my skin is extra dry and in the morning I wake up with supple, bouncy skin. It takes a little massaging to get this absorbed fully but nothing too bad. I love the fact that I can sleep on it and wake up in the morning feel like I had a facial or a good chemical peel. It just leaves my skin so, so soft and very supple well after I’ve taken a shower and applied my normal daily moisturizer.

And hey, sometimes I even use it in the day when the weather is extra cold. A little tiny dab goes a long way at keeping my dry skin moist, hydrated, and looking great. You’ve heard me complain a plenty about my duller skin and part of the dullness is due to dryness. Skin’s Shangri-La is one of those moisturizer that instantly eases dullness because it injects skin with such a great amount of moisture.

So, if you’re dry skin is in need of a boost of super moisture I highly suggest grabbing a pot of Lush Skin’s Shangri La! It does dry skin good.

Available now at Lush stores or online at lush.com.

I tried a sample of this, I couldn’t even use it because it smelled so strongly 🙁 And here in Sweden it’s even more expensive, last time I checked this particular cream was something like 65-70 dollars? D: A few of their other creams I like though, just not this one.
