MAC Dare Hue Brow Pencils Bring a Little Color to Your Brows

Dominic Skinner, Senior Artist for MAC Cosmetics UK, posted images of the new MAC Dare Hue Brow Pencils on his Instagram today. Did you read about my Benefit Brow Experience? If so, you already know I avoid brow powders and brow gels like the plague. My brows are just too thick already and they really don’t need a helping hand.

I’m not sure how I feel about the Dare Hue Pencils for myself but I imagine some people are going to really, really like the idea and concept behind these.

MAC is launching these yummies in six yummy pastel ice cream inspired shades with the Soft Serve Collection that will be available June 2nd.

Shades include:

  • Violet Infused (soft lavender)
  • Blonde Not Bland (pastel peach)
  • Pink Confetti (pastel pink)
  • Frisky Fresh (soft mint green)
  • What a Highlight (soft white gold highlighter)
  • Clearly Groomed (nudey beige)

I imagine if you’re currently rocking a pastel shade of hair these will be quite a nice way and easy way to get matching color on your brows!

I kind of find myself wishing they were available in more vibrant shades like some sort of super pigmented aqua. Of course, I’d likely never wear them but I still kind of want to see how an aqua would look!

What do you think of these pencils?

Yay?

Nay?

Do share!

YAH! but the soft lavender needs more color. Like the aqua one you dream of. LOL I would wear it 😀

I have some pink in my blonde highlights right now, so I’m tempted to grab one, not for every day but for some fun times.

This is like some weird Hunger Games Capitol beauty trend. May the odds be ever in your favor!

This looks like the powerbrow and color corrector trends had a baby…

Now that I think about it, the longer I stare at that instagram image, the more this looks (at least from the outside) that MAC’s product development people took the Maury Povich “Who’s the Father?”-approach with the beauty trends saturating social media, cuz this also looks the Pastel Unicorn Hair Color -trend could be the father as well…

It’s not for me but I think a lot of people are currently sporting smoky pastel hair color so it seems like MAC actually created something people with that shade of hair can use 🙂 For example, Jen Crimmins from Tarte went completely pink recently, these brow pencils would be perfect for her! 🙂 https://www.instagram.com/p/BENITGZAV4h/?hl=en <---- she's back to be blonde now but Pink Confetti brow hue would have been perfect for her 🙂 I think it's a cool idea even if it isn't something I'd use simply because it's a safe and easy way to do your brows to match your hair. Seems a lot easier than dying your brows to match your hair yanno?

I wish I had pastel hair and then I would use these. But I’ll just be glad to have my boring, dark brown hair. 🙂

ONLY if I can star in a Star Trek remake episode
