Whoever Does Alanna Masterson’s Makeup Must Also Do Mercedes Mason’s Too!

Mercedes Mason

I still haven’t figured out what Alanna Masterson was wearing on her face a few months ago when she appeared on the Talking Dead. But I digress to a more recent Talking Dead episode because I’m equally curious what Mercedes Mason is wearing. Maybe they both have the same makeup artist? Because they both have some seriously flattering shades on for brunettes.

Mercedes Mason has been seen in a number of clips on Talking Dead recently discussing Fear the Walking Dead and she’s wearing the most flattering nudes ever. On her lips she has a really pretty peach nude. It’s so difficult to get a great nude lipstick and lipgloss shade without looking like you have zombie lips, no pun intended. This shade suits her coloring beautifully! She also has a very sheer peachy eyeshadow with a flattering brown eyeliner. Funny, whenever I wear brown eyeliner it looks black! Outside of Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliner in Brown, brown eyeliners always look black on my eyes! She also has a delightful nude yet glow-y peach on her cheeks. It’s just a really flattering look for a girl with brown hair and eyes.

I don’t typically discuss celebrity looks on here because I admit I find them boring or untruthful. Like, how Julie Roberts wore so and so shade of Covergirl Lipstick to a movie premiere. Everyone and their mom will report that the shade was worn by her at some mega event. Girl, please, you know that’s not Covergirl! It’s probably a $50 Guerlain Lipstick and Glamour Magizine is trying to sell us that you’re walking the Red Carpet in drugstore lipstick.

I also find most celeb makeup breakdowns a bit boring. But sometimes a look will capture my attention and make me take notice. The irony is probably the fact that Mercedes Mason isn’t a “hot” topic of discussion anywhere outside of my site.

But I just thought her look was really great and super wearable.

We need a Talking Dead series that discusses the makeup that the actresses are wearing in interviews so we can replicate the look ha!

Anyway, what do you think of her makeup?

Pretty flattering eh?

Does anyone out there reading this know or have a dupe for the lip color and blush?/bronzer? she’s wearing here? This is the kind of look I want to wear on my graduation day, but damn, finding a nude lip color that fits is like looking for a needle in a haystack!

I wish I knew exactly what she was wearing because it is perfect!

Just so you know, drugstore makeup is totally worn on the red carpet. Makeup artists know how to apply anything and make it work. Not that drugstore makeup doesn’t apply well already — there are plenty of wonderful products that are in no way worse than high end. In fact, some are better, since a lot of high end stuff turna out to be duds. 😉

Oh I agree. There are hits and misses everywhere including in the drugstore and high end world. I think drugstore makeup as evolved considerably over the past few years and many products rival mid-end brands. However, when they do a PR pitch where several celebs are wearing the same lipstick from the same drugstore makeup brand all at the same event I do question it ;-D I also question when I and many others dislike a formula so much yet everyone is raving how great it is in the celeb world, hell, even a great makeup artist can’t make a crummy formula work 😀
