When You Wish Upon a Jar of Moisturizer Good Things Happen!

Soap & Glory Wish Upon a Jar, not star, JAR, is one of those rather gimmicky skincare releases that the brand does so love to introduce. Let the record state that I love me some Soap & Glory anything.

However, their skin care is typically a bit gimmicky and doesn’t quite performs the miracles that Soap & Glory promises. Soap & Glory is like a late night infomercial. That broom which sweeps the floor and cooks dinner for you and your husband plus takes the kid’s to school in the morning sounds mighty fine at 3:30 in the morning but when you get it, well, it barely sweeps the floor right never mind anything else.

But, the exception to the rule here is Soap & Glory Wish Upon a Jar.

Well, I mean, ok, it doesn’t do EVERYTHING they say it will be it does do somethings.

Wish Upon A Jar is a 14 day peptide + rejuvenating moisturizer that contains a host of antioxidants as well as “Superpeptide P3000” (sounds like the motor in a car) and an “anti-wrinkle complex and energinseng booster system” (sounds like the motor of a plane! $h1t is about to get real when you apply this on your face as I bet you can zoom around the room going 100MPH).

I admit I’m terribly confused about the “14 day” thing! Does it mean it’ll make me look youthful in 14 days or does it mean I should use it for 14 days and stop? On the box it says daily moisturizer so that’s exactly how I’ve been using it.

This comes in a silver sphere which makes me think of my childhood watching and rewatching the Tall Man scare the hell out of with those Sentinel Spheres in Phantasm. He looked like a creepy mortician.

Sadly, if this does contain Superpeptide P300, whatever that is, it’s likely rendered unstable do to the Sentinel Sphere packaging. Damn.

But on that note, I will say, in 14 days I’m not sure if I was looking any younger but I will say this about Wish Upon a Jar, it’s a nice moisturizer for drier skin. This wears very well under makeup and provides excellent lasting hydration. I dunno if I’d recommend it for oily skin but on my drier skin it absorbs easily and provides a high level of moisture and retains hydration levels through the day so my skin is smoother and more supple! Plus my dullness is eased considerably which is due to dryness.

So, yeah, I’m not so sure I look 10 years younger as of yet but after completing an entire jar I’m ready for a repurchase! Drier skin girls and guys should check it out because if for nothing else, there’s plenty of long lasting moisture to be had here.
