About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Hi Muse, are you thinking of trying the Clinique pep start? I want to but am hesitant. I have the same exact skin issues as you and I tried to use the Algenist Sublime Defense Anti-Aging Moisturizer. Same concept as the Clinique pep start. It pilled like nobody’s business! I tried and tried and ultimately tossed a $75 jar of moisturizer. I don’t know if it was my dry skin or too many silicones in the product or what. Just a big fat fail. But I will be looking for your review on the Clinique if you decide to try it.

yup! already ordered it! Curious how it’ll work, I’ll let ya know 😀 I haven’t tried the Algenist but I tried the Murad one, which was essential a silicone primer with an SPF 50 I believe it was and that was a horror show! I’ll let ya know about clinique!

I have had my eye on the Blithe splash masks for months on Glow Recipe. Now that I can get one at Sephora without having to meet a minimum free shipping amount, I might just have to bite the bullet and order one. Too bad Sephora doesn’t have the purple one I wanted but I’m so intrigued I might just get the yellow citrus. Any plans to review?

    • Isabella Muse

Yes actually! I picked it up a few days ago! Haven’t tried yet but planning to test shortly. I’m intrigued by the mask in shower deal 😀 I’ll let you know what I think!

I’m really intrigued by that Blithe product; can’t wait to read some reviews! Right now I’m testing some Sunday Riley and Drunk Elephant skincare so I need to give them a chance before I move on to anything else.

I’m sort of curious on just how you’re supposed to splash that mask on your face and avoid your eyes at the same time? Or am I the only one that splashes the whole face at one time and not just parts of it?
