IT Cosmetics It's All About You! Customer Favorites

The It Cosmetics It’s All About You! Customer Favorites Collection ($59) is the June QVC Today’s Special Value (TSV) that will available on the 25th and includes 3 fufull size It Cosmetics products as well as a full size makeup brush. This set is a launching pad for the new It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment which is a new treatment lip balm that contains essentials butters and oils for moisture! It also gives your lips a natural, pink pout.

Let’s explore the contents of the entire set.

IT Cosmetics It’s All About You! Customer Favorites Collection contains:

The set is available as a one time purchase or you can get it on auto delivery. When purchased on auto ship your first ship arrives with the Heavenly Skin Perfecting Brush but your next shipments will not include a brush and the price will be $49.97 instead of $59. Personally, I would not recommend an auto ship for two reasons. One, you’re never going to run through nearly 3 oz of the CC+ Coverage Cream before your next order ships. And two, the contents remain the same with each shipment. So, unless all of these products are staples or holy grail products I’m doubtful you’ll need an entire set arriving at your door step every three months or so.

Above I’ve linked to my detailed reviews on each of the items in this set but I’ll do a brief recap of each here.

It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment is one of the more exciting pieces in this collection but unfortunately failed to wow me. Jes Ne Sai Quoi is one of It Cosmetics most popular shades and it is available in a variety of products for both lips and cheeks. Most will likely thing of the It Cosmetics Color Stain Stick upon seeing the Lip Treatment but the formulas are different. Keep in mind this was also formulated for lips only where as the color stain stick was for both cheeks and lips. I felt the color was quite sheer and provided a hint of pink with light moisture but much else. The formula feels a little waxy and balmy with a very faint fruit flavor. I think I expected a bit more color from it and a lot more moisture which was the cause for much disappointment. If you’d like further info do read my full review of the balm.

The second item that’s brand new to this set and exciting is the new Heavenly Skin CC+ Skin Perfecting Brush was created for use with the CC+ Coverage Cream. As with all It Cosmetics Makeup Brushes this is a keeper. It has a lighter handle with soft, full bristles that had no shedding issues and retained their shape after two washes. It Cosmetics brushes are always very well made and there’s no exception to that rule here. I thought the brush was made very well and it buffs the cream into skin beautifully. The full bristles sheer out the super pigmented formula wonderfully for natural yet still excellent coverage. For me, it was a highlight in an otherwise uneventful set.

This does include on of my personal favorite products from It which is the Tightline Mascara. I actually use this daily to prep my lashes for mascara as it pulls them up and out with a lighter formula that doesn’t make my lashes crunchy. It’s very, very light so using thicker mascara on top of it doesn’t cause clumping or a mess. I also love the way the thinner bristle-less brush is small enough to wriggle under my upper lash line creating a tightline look without the need to use an eyeliner. And on days I want natural yet soft, longer lashes this is a great pick! If you’d like to know more things I love about it do read my full review.

And finally this set includes a massive size of CC+ Illumination Color Correcting Illuminating Full Coverage Cream. I’ve always loved It Cosmetics CC+ Coverage Cream but I’m not a huge fan of the Illumination one. To me, it’s pretty much the same formula as the original but it is a bit more yellow and it does contain a good deal of mica. Typically after blending really well I wouldn’t say I noticed the mica or the illuminating finish it apparently has. However, I do feel it is a little bit more yellow compared to the original shades. All in all, the IT Cosmetics It’s All About You! Customer Favorites Collection is an excellent value. You’re getting 4 full size products with this set for a mere $60 bucks plus $3 shipping. The value is most definitely here. What is not here or at least for me, is the excitement. I love It Cosmetics very, very much and I’m an It Girl no doubt. Many of their products are staples for me but I wish their QVC Today’s Special Values contains more color and newer products. Many of the sets include base products and after a while it can be repetitive. How many tubes of CC Cream does one girl or guy need? How many Bye Bye Foundation Powders? I wish they would do a curated set with more color cosmetics in it. Something that includes options for lips, cheeks, and eyes. Don’t get me wrong they have done these in the past but I feel like their base product line is their focus point where as many of the color cosmetics don’t get as much airtime.

The set is a great value but if you’re anything like me you likely have a few tubes of CC+ as well as a few tube of Tightline hanging around already. Unfortunately, I can’t say that the new brush or the new lip treatment make this set any more appealing. The brush is great but the lip treatment formula wasn’t that good.

If you need a tube of CC+ and you’re simply gagging to get your hands on this brush you might wish to indulge. No doubt, this is a great value. But some It Girls and Guys might find themselves questioning if they need it.

The IT Cosmetics It’s All About You! Customer Favorites Collection is available at QVC.com.
Will you indulge?

For the same reasons you stated, I won’t be buying this either. The only thing I really wanted was the brush, and I found one on eBay.

  • Dana

I agree – this set is not exciting and a disappointment. I don’t need more CC cream and don’t like je ne sai qua (or however you spell it).. that is in EVERY kit and I want something new! I want the brush.. that’s about it.

  • Cheryl

Isabella, I would probably use the cc cream by mixing it with my other products. I have the comparable lipsticks and would use the mascara, but it’s not my favorite. Is the brush worth it, where I am merely “meh” about the rest? Is it that different from others It has already available? Thank you!!

    • Cheryl

PS…I already have 3 of the It double ended face brushes, a flat topped complexion brush, and the big fluffy white brush that came with the last It TSV. Trying to determine if this is sufficiently different to warrant a purchase.

    • Isabella Muse

Not so different if you got the last TSV, as this is quite the same! Hope this helps!

      • Cheryl

It does! Thank you! I passed on this one, as the brush was the only thing tempting me. I came to my senses as I started to get sucked in, and I feel better for doing so with your feedback. Thanks again.

        • Isabella Muse

Good for you! Lots of other goodies to look forward too! Sorry for the delayed reply just getting to comments today after a long weekend! xoxox!

  • Kiss & Make-up

Pity about the lip balm. The brush does sound nice though.

  • Gillie

I was so sorely tempted by this, but I resisted. Thanks for your honest reviews, because otherwise, this would have been in my mailbox! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

I think you may the right choice, it’s really not that the best It TSV they have had!

  • Andi

Totally bummed on this one, I was really hoping for the regular cc cream as opposed to the illumination. That stuff makes me look like a sparkly Ghost!

As always thanks for the review

  • Nicole

Sounds like you had a great trip to New York! Happy to have you back, Isabella! 🙂
My thoughts on the TSV, I always have enjoyed the CC+ Illumination Cream, but I don’t take use a lot so this tube in this TSV went to me niece who is in love with this stuff like nothing else! 🙂
The Tightline Primer in the waterproof formula is what I use everyday for mascara unless I need a more evening or dramatic look. So I am more than happy to have extra tubes around. 😉
The Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment; the jury (that exists in my brain 😀 ) was out for a while. Have no illusions anyone, this cutely pink packaged lip treatment is not about color. It does works well as an overnight lip balm. I have not been having as much peeling going on with my lips, weird for me because my lips usually peel quite a bit.
The brush, well it’s an IT brush, it is awesome! So overall this kit worked for me. I’m not saying it’s my favorite IT TSV, but served my needs because I love to share! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

huh? I live in New York lol I didn’t take a trip to New York 🙂 I went on a cruise! Haha! I think the brush was about the only thing that caught me in this set! I wish they would do a TSV with some more interesting items 🙂 but hey, I’m glad you enjoyed most of it!!!!!!!!!

      • Nicole

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! Don’t allow me to post anything after surgery ever again because I obviously was not able to read! You should see the text messages I sent from the first 3 days after!
Well in any event I am so happy you had a nice vacation and are back to read my messages from my very drug induced state of stupidity! LOL, I am so sorry Isabella. 🙂
I do agree, I would like to see some more interesting, less safe TSV’s by IT, but we have to take into consideration QVC has to OK them too. This is not always a good thing… 🙁

        • Isabella Muse

lol don’t worry about ut. I had to re-read what you said because I thought I made a mistake lol! I actually live in New York 😀 haha! Bred, born, raised, native 😀 Haha! Are you ok? Hopefully doing better! Don’t be sorry! That’s fine! I think It has some fab products but I’d love it if they do newer releases more often, it seems like their main collection can really use a refresh at times yanno? Agreed! QVC does indeed have the finally say!

          • Nicole

Wow, I have never been to New York, but being born in WI and lived here my entire life, my brother who was in the Army, claims I would not make it 2 seconds in New York! LOL!
Doing better that I was. Sort of was busy with my mom last July through November and my gallbladder was giving me trouble but I ignored it until now because well I was not taking care of me I guess. I have 5 incisions in my abdomen one large one because they had a hard time getting it out without having it burst. They did and it burst in the specimen jar, so it’s all good! 😉
I love IT brushes, heck launch one in every TSV! 😀 I would like to see more of a refreshing TSV as far as skincare and makeup. QVC will play it safe though and approve what they know will sell. So time will tell what we see in the future… :/

          • Isabella Muse

I’ve been to WI once and yup very different compared to NY but you’d totally be fine here! It’s nice to experience at least once 😀 Oh wow! My sister had hers removed as well and it was also close to bursting. She was suffering for a while and they actually couldn’t determine what it was after a ton of visits to the ER if you could believe that. The last time she thought she was having a heart attack, turns out, gallbladder! She had it removed and thankfully all went back to normal. She struggles a little with it though because if she eats anything out of the weight she gets stomach pains/etc…! Take care if yourself! That’s true on QVC :-/ But it makes it boring for the hardcore fans like us!

          • Nicole

You know I LOVE a great deal! Jamie Kern Lima and Chaz Dean bring The mega super saver bargains to QVC like no other! I think when you are bringing in the cash that they do to QVC it is time for QVC to take a step back and give their money makers a bit more say of what goes into a TSV or kits they enjoy offering. I have heard straight from the “horses mouth” so to speak that there is some tension reguarding how well vendors know their customers. Not really a great idea for QVC to determine that since you know (as lovable and as sweet as they are on TV) the are smart business people. They want to make as much as any other business owner does. QVC should be a little more receptive to their top selling vendors before a money maker like IT Cosmetics or WEN walk away and don’t look back.
I was thing about how we mentioned Jamie doing a fresher less in the safety zone TSV. Heck do a combo eye and lip kit where you can go on auto deliver and change shades each shipment! Add a luminizer (I like the cream one, but whatever) in a travel size with a travel brush and bad or something. Let her branch out and go beyond the coverage of her foundations (which are in the process of shade expansion anyway) and show is how to accentuate other features on the face.
Sorry, not meant to be on a soap box this morning (? haven’t slept yet) but QVC has got to take a step back and let these vendors do what they do best; sell their product! 🙂
