L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

I have to admit I hate glowing foundation with a passion! Oh and concealer! Shimmer, sparkle, or glow of any kind should not be included in your concealer! It’s like putting a spotlight on your puffiness and fine lines. Thanks but no thanks! It’s one of the reasons I’ve been avoiding Amazing Concealer Illuminate! I loved their new Hydrate Concealer but I’m deadly scared that the Illuminate will be all glow-y horror show on me. I’m waiting to see it when it pops into stores as I’m hoping I’ll be proved wrong!

Foundations? Even worst. I have a round face and I always feel like glow-y foundations make my cheeks and face look plumper!

But, strobing is a way of life lately so, L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation launches at the right time as everyone wants to get their glow as much as humanly possible.

Available in 12 shades L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation promises up to 24 hours of hydrating coverage and glow. This lightweight, creamy foundation was created with dry skin in mine. It has medium coverage that provides perfecting foundation as well as an SPF 15 for sun protection.

It’s arriving soon in drugstores but if you can’t wait Ulta.com has it right this very minute.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’ve seen these in-store at Wal-Mart as well. I purchased it from there last Saturday!

I saw this on another blog and I am curious as well if there is noticable shimmer or what the deal is. I’m all for a luminous glow but only if the shimmer is fine enough not to actually sparkle in the sun (if that makes sense). If this just makes you look more “awake and refreshed” I’ll try it. Looking forward to swatches and a review before I purchase it for sure.

Ugh. I have a round face too. I was looking forward to trying this, I didn’t even think about the fact that the “glow” would make me look like a disco ball. But, alas. Thanks for the info, I would have blown 10 bucks on this.

I’ve been using this for a few days (bought on Amazon as soon as it released). The shade I bought – Classic Ivory – has absolutely no shimmer or sheen. It just has a regular dewy finish – nothing extreme at all for those worried about a “sparkle” effect.

Hmm. I wonder how this will compare to their True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup Foundation and True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation? I wore the former throughout the winter and early spring. It was pretty glowy, so I’m a little surprised by this new release. I would’ve thought L’Oreal had their bases covered in the glow department by the True Match Lumi line, especially with how often the TML Healthy Luminous Makeup Foundation is compared to the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

Very interesting! I may have to give the Infallible Pro-Glow a try!

Guessing it’s because the original Infallible Matte Line has been so popular — or so it seems from what I’ve read/seen online. May as well cash in on a dewy version.

Makes sense! And when I think about it further, the True Match Lumi line isn’t marketed as 24 hour foundations like the Infallible. 24-hour glow…

For anyone reading this, I would advise steering clear of this foundation. The 3rd ingredient is denatured alcohol, which is a far cry from the beneficial plant alcohols that are so frequently used in cosmetics as thickeners/emulsifiers. Denatured alcohol really isn’t that much different from rubbing alcohol, its very harsh, drying, irritating, kills healthy skin cells, and causes excessive oil production (that is how the skin tries to repair itself from the damage). This is probably why on the label it states not to use on broken skin or near the eyes. So, so disappointed that Loreal included this as a main ingredient in this foundation. I was immensely excited about this foundation when I first heard about it. Then I saw the ingredient list, and I was crushed.

Thank you so much for this list. I was excited for this foundation, too, but now that I’ve done some research on that alcohol, I’ll definitely steer clear. Thanks again for saving my sensitive skin!
