Didn’t I just recently say that mud masks are becoming suddenly popular? Josie Maran has a new mud mask set as well as a hydrating whipped mud mask and let’s not forget the round of Shea Moisture Mud Masks. Now, L’Oreal Mud Masks have arrived in three formulas and are available now at drugstores for $12.99 each!

Let’s take a look!

I have to be honest after using Asian Sheet Masks it’s difficult to go back to cream masks. I get far better results from a sheet masks versus an actual cream one. And mud masks? They are kind of on my trash list because they tend to dry my skin out no matter how hydrating they promise to be!

But I admit to be slightly curious about the L’Oreal Mud Mask formula!

L’Oreal Purify & Mattify Pure-Clay Mask
A pure clay mask infused with Eucalyptus that helps to purify and mattify skin in 10 minutes. This formula removes gunk and impurities from pores and helps to mattify oily skin without drying it out!

L’Oreal Exfoliate & Refine Refine Clay Mask
A clay mask infused with Red Algae Extract as well as volcanic rock that helps to exfoliate, refine, and smooth skin.

L’Oreal Detox & Brighten Clay Mask
A charcoal infused clay mask that acts like a magnet to draw out impurities and leave skin clean and balanced.

They sound interesting don’t they?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m going to look for the charcoal or red algae ones in store. I’m allergic to eucalyptus so I have to avoid the other one.

Nice! I love using masks but they basically don’t sell anything but single-use mud masks in my country, so this is a welcome addition 🙂 Wish these big drugstore brands would jump on the sheet mask bandwagon so I could try those too!

My skin is dry too but I want to try these too! Target here I come.

Nothing like a good old-fashioned mud pack! I’m glad to see them coming back. I can’t stand sheet masks – haven’t come across one that did a darn thing. Mud packs really exfoliate and clear out the complexion.

You and I are the exact opposite, Eraser! I love sheet masks! I always feel like they brighten up my complexion so well and hydrate my skin! Mud packs always make me drier 🙁

I’ve never used sheet masks before and just this week I got a couple in my Ipsy bag….was going to gift them but since you like them, think I will try them:-)

Interesting on their own merits, interesting for frightening the horses (or in my case, small children), and nice pampering. But they always have alcohol and other undesirable skincare ingredients!

I was going comment that amazon has them for 9.99 each, but Melanie beat me to it. ;)))). I believe there are only three new ones. I got all three. I received them today and even though it’s only 1.7 oz, they are full and are larger than they look online. What evs. A lot cheaper than Glamglow.

Avon has made one for years that I use and actually have some stockpiled now since it wasn’t available for awhile but about a year or so ago I noticed it was back… it’s the gray one and comes in a tube – Planet Spa Mineral Mask- works well, smells nice, not too hard to remove and is very cost effective
