E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick ($4) is a new chubby concealer stick that launched in 4 shade selections late last month. I don’t know why I keep buying E.L.F. concealers and continue trying to use them under my eyes. I seriously have to have my head examined. A majority of their concealer formulas might just perform fabulously on skin but under eyes? Too dry!

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick might be a great pick if you’re looking to contour and brighten or perhaps conceal minor blemishes but if you’re planning on using it under your eyes, don’t bother.

E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick is a chubby little domed shaped concealer with a swivel up design that comes in four shade selections for $4 bucks each. I love these chubby domed shaped blushes, concealers, and lip balms that have taken over the beauty scene lately. They are quite easy to use, mess-free, and travel well for quick swipe and go color or coverage. E.L.F.’s packaging is great in this aspect as you can easily swipe it on, blend it out, and go.

I’d probably like this a lot more if this was more hydrating. Sadly, it’s quite dry and isn’t for use under your eyes due to this issue as it does crease rather badly and it is difficult to blend. I’m noticing many people that purchased it used it for baking but personally I don’t embrace the baking trend (dry skin here!) so, that option is sadly out. It might work well on oily skin for contouring or sculpting and even brightening as the Light/Medium shade has a good deal of yellow to it which will be ideal for brightening up and sculpting below the eye sockets (I always feel like Light is too pale and Light/Medium is too yellow in E.L.F.’s formulas!). But again, I find the formula very dry and blending proves difficult and this clings to my drier skin horribly giving me a rather bad cake face finish. Coverage is lacking as well since it does sheer out considerably during the blending process. It might concealer minor redness and darkness but don’t expect full coverage here.

I like the idea and packaging of E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick more than the actual formula. Something creamier and more hydrating would win my approval! This is simply too dry for me. It might work on oily skin but beware this won’t wear long and it offers pretty sheer coverage. If you’re on the hunt for a cheaper sculpting tool this might do the trick but aside from that it was a bust for me.
