Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation

It’s here! In a weird launch, the new Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 50 has arrived! Why weird? Well, L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation arrived at drugstores for Spring 2016 in December. Typically drugstores are lag a little behind with releases. L’Oreal is Lancome’s parent company but typically products end up releasing on counters first and a few months or even a year down the line you’ll see a drugstore variation of said product.

Not the case with Lancome’s cushion! L’Oreal got it first by several months with a super early releases in the UK and one a few months later in the US. I thought it was very interesting that drugstore got dibs on this launch.

Also odd, is the fact that Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil got a launch before the foundation yet L’Oreal Lucent Magique Cushion Glow Blush still hasn’t arrived on our shores. So, we got the foundation at drugstores first yet not the foundation but the blush is here on counters but not at drugstores. Oh woe!

Hmm…! I might be overthinking things but none the less we now have Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation to look forward to.

Available in 14 shades, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation ($47) provides buildable coverage with a long wear and a lightly hydrating formula that has a natural, matte finish. I haven’t personally tried it yet but the matte did throw me off the game! But never say never as lately matte foundations have been quite wearable without sucking the moisture out of skin! Look at Urban Decay’s new Fluid Foundation, it’s fab for even drier skin!

I personally love cushion makeup so I’m looking forward to trying this one.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation is available now at Nordstrom.com.

I wish I would have held out, I just bought the one from them, that got an allure best of beauty award last year. I’m fair skinned so spf 50 sounds awesome. The one I bought is an awesome product, worth the $,spf is better tho.

Are you still enjoying the Physician’s Formula cushion foundation? I have no need to purchase foundation any time soon, but have my eye on that one. I’ve only tried the Amore Pacific cushion and I like the application method and the level of coverage very much, but think it might have caused breakouts on me. I haven’t used it in a while, and it’s probably dried out now.

I was so excited about this, til I saw the really odd shade range. The liquid version has a huge one, albeit still very cool/pink toned, and this basically is like skipping half or more of the normal shade range. My shade (100N) is not in this, and I am not sure if 090N is too light in something like this, or if 140N will be too dark, but there’s no warms, no olives…so odd.
