Lush MayPole Soap Minty Fresh and Sweet!
I picked up a slice of Lush Maypole Soap recently because I need more soap like a need a hole right in my head. I swear I must be the cleanest person on the planet. Between the stockpile of Bath & Body Works Handsoaps I have and the tons of soaps and shower gels, well, if I’m not clean I don’t know who is.
I was just headed into Lush rather innocently to stock up on Ultra Bland. That’s my new cleansing kick by the way, Ultra Bland! It doesn’t dry my face out, keeps me super moist, and removes my makeup beautifully! Loves it. But yeah, anyway, I headed in for a repurchase and gave myself the, “You don’t need anything else! Purchase Ultra Bland and get out the door fast before they start offering up bath bomb demos!” talk before opening the door. Because you know, there’s nothing like a bunch of girls hovering over a salad bowl filled with water watching a bath bomb pop and fizzle in it. Why, Jebus, WHY!? Sometimes Lush SAs are as aggressive as Bath and Body Works ones.
Anyway, I’m slightly fuzzy on the details but somehow, someway Maypole Soap came home with me that day!
Ugh I love this stuff. I need more. Apparently it contains a blend of not only peppermint oil but Canadian Maple Syrup! I don’t get the maple syrup part but it does smell like sweet minty deliciousness. Kind of like a sweet mint gum of some sort. It just smells incredibly addictive and I do have to refrain from putting it in my mouth. By the way, did anyone actual get subjected to the “wash your mouth out with soap” disciplinary action? I mean in this case, maybe it’ll actually taste good.
It’s round in shape, pink in color, and has a green and yellow jelly-like looking center that gives it a “I just landed and I come in peace” vibe. It’s quite pretty. In stores, it’s actually not sold from a wheel but is displayed in long, tall round stalks that look like the memory crystal chambers from Superman (you know I have to get my geeky references in where I can). It creates tons of lovely lather and doesn’t dry out or strip my skin.
I love minty shower stuff in the Summer and this fits the bill perfectly!
I’d grab a few pieces if you’re a mint lover! This stuff smells good enough to eat.
