Universal Voodoo Perfume Oils Are An Absolute Muse Have, I Mean Must Have!

I happen to be a massive Universal Voodoo fan girl and I recently discovered they have an Etsy store and are now doing Perfume Oils. Dream. Come. True. Universal Voodoo Perfume Oils are something I’ve wanted in my life since discovering this incredible indie brand at least ten years ago. At the time I discovered it, it was called Alternative Breeding and it was all about wax melts and candles. As per the name, these are worthy of your possession and an absolutely muse have, must have, whatever, you get it 🙂

Tod, the creator, of these intricate, unique blends has always concentrated solely on wax. But I’ve always felt that these blends are so, so unique that they deserved to be showcased in something other than wax. Anyway, I don’t when but Tod has in fact launched an entire range of perfume oils. It could be a year or could be months or it could be yesterday but I didn’t realize that until recently. You see, I’ve been avoiding Tod’s website for a while now because I stockpile his wax tarts and I promised myself I wouldn’t buy more until I used what I already had. If you haven’t tried his tart’s you seriously have not lived. They are amazing! Simply incredible. There is truly nothing like them in the indie world. And now that he’s doing perfume oils? Well, there’s nothing like those either.

I did a very small order recently on Tod’s Etsy store (he also has a website you can purchase these on should you like). I got a sample pack of the perfume oils as well as two 10ML bottles.

Today I’m wearing Halloween in a bottle! Not really, but it smells like Halloween. It’s the scent Sticky Fingers, which for whatever reason, reminds me of Fall, pumpkins, candy, etc…! This is a blend of creamy vanilla, marshmallow, cotton candy, and caramel. Honestly, those notes sound very common and uneventful. I think upon seeing them would would immediately think, “Oh! Pink Sugar!” But no, don’t even think that, it’s blasphemy! This a warm, sticky, ooey gooey creation that can’t be described in mere words! I promise, it’s delicious! If you love unique, gourmand blends this is for you. I promise, it is like nothing else you’ve tried in the Indie (or high end) fragrance world.

I also got Picnic which is much more Summer friendly. This is a mixed bag of green fruits such as tart green apple, honeydew melon, and pear as well as green grassy notes. Tod pairs it up with leaves and mixed cedars which adds a complexity to the sweet fruit notes. In short, it smells like having a picnic while sitting in a field of grass lined with hay. There’s juicy fruit for dessert, just cut grass you’re sitting on, and perhaps off in the decent a barn with newly laid hay. Beautiful!

His perfume oils start at a mere $8.95 to $14.95 for 10ML which will last you forever as a small dab at pulse points wears all day and has amazing throw and linger. If you’re not sure about indulging in a full size he offers small sample packs which allows you to choose 3 samples, 6 samples, or 12 samples from $6.95-$19.95.

And if you’re feeling up to it might I again (as I’ve done numerous times in the past) recommend his wax tarts which have incredible throw and linger. I have seriously, melted one of his tarts for a few hours and had the scent linger in my house the next day. They are that strong! My personal favorite is Honey Roast which is not currently available but I hope to see again in the Fall.

I think Universal Voodoo is something everyone needs to experience for themselves. There are plenty incredible indie brands out there but Universal Voodoo is by far one of the best and most unique in my experience (believe me, I’ve tried many!). You can just feel the love that went into making these products!
