Becca Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder

Along with their new Aqua Luminous Perfect Concealer, Becca has a new Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder arriving for Fall 2016. It’s available now at Ulta.com and arrives in stores on August 25th for $34.

The new Becca Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder is a water-resistant powder that acts as a lightweight foundation. Apparently it has a silky formula that acts as a foundation, concealer, highlighter, finishing and contouring powder with medium to full coverage and a seamless, matte finish.

It sounds a lot like Becca’s original Perfect Skin Mineral Powder Foundation but with a new, silky formula!

I likely can’t use it! Dry skin here so, I tend to avoid powder foundations. It’s funny as I actually love the coverage of powder compared to that of liquid. I feel like it wears a lot longer and it looks a lot more flawless on skin versus cream or liquid foundation. But sadly, it adheres to my drier areas badly. There are so many days I wish I had oily skin!

Le sigh!

What do you think?

Will be trying either the new Aqua Luminous Perfect Concealer or the new Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder?

I had to laugh at your statement that you wish you had oily skin! As someone with oily skin, I wish daily that I had dry skin. Seems like it would be so much easier and that so many more makeup products are targeted to your skin type rather than mine!! LOL

Girl, believe me it is a good thing! You’ll stay younger a lot longer 😀

Isabella my skin is Sahara desert dry, I started to use the L’Oreal revitalift anti-wrinkle and Firming day cream and at first I was saying this is not going to do anything but after a month of use I am amazed at the results. I can’t say that it has done anything for wrinkles but it moisturizes my skin better than any other moisturizer I have ever used, I recently repurchased it plus the night cream.
FYI: the real test will be how it performs in Winter.

I used to complain about my oily skin but now I wish I still had it because it’s true what Isabella said, it keeps your skin youthful.

I need a good Foundation powder to try out the buffing technique that I saw on the Wayne Goss YouTube video so I will be checking out this product.

As someone who used the Mineral Foundation, the Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder is a big fail.

Frankly, I suspect the marketing folks at Becca went to the product team and asked them to “reformulate” the Mineral Foundation so they could repackage it (in much smaller size) and reduce the number of colors…which is the big problem. While other brands offer their powder foundations in a limited range of colors, the tones are either neutral enough or the coverage is either light for the shades to work for a large range of skin tones. Neither of these is the case with the Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder. While the Mineral Foundation in Amber was an ideal match for my skin tone, the closest color in the Multi-Tasking Powder, Warm Honey, is too red for me.

Mark my words, Becca’s efforts to increase their profit margins and reduce inventory costs by switching to smaller packaging and fewer SKUs will prove to be a disaster, when loyal Becca customers like me just decide to switch to another brand (I just bought Too Faced’ Born This Way).
