Bobbi Brown The Nude Library 25th Anniversary Edition

The Bobbi Brown The Nude Library 25th Anniversary Edition is sitting in my cart for the last hour and a half begging me to buy it. But I’m thinking I should wait for a sale.

Right?

Ugh I can’t wait.

Someone stop me from hitting submit!

I’m terribly, terribly tempted to indulge in the new, limited edition Bobbi Brown The Nude Library 25th Anniversary Edition which is $200 and holds 40 stunning shades of Bobbi Brown’s best-selling nude eyeshadows curated from her most-loved and best selling nude eyeshadow palettes. This is somewhat a relief as I probably have all these shades already right? I’m trying and failing to talk myself out of this package.

Bobbi hand-picked eight of her all-time favorite nude shadow palettes from her past archives and included shades from those in this library palette. This comes in a glamorous mirrored case with Bobbi Brown’s emblem on it.

The shades included are from the following palettes:

It’s truly the ultimate set for Bobbi Brown fans.

I’m thinking if it shows up at Sephora for 20% Off…….

The Bobbi Brown The Nude Library 25th Anniversary Edition is available now at neimanmarcus.com and should be coming soon to nordstrom.com, bobbibrown.com, and hopefully Sephora.com.

How do you feel about this one?

Love it or leave it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I feel like this could be the only palette I’d ever need or want. But I’m relatively new to wearing eyeshadow as an adult, and it could be my imagination but I think that the texture of my first UD Naked palette, purchased maybe a year and a half ago, is going downhill. How long should powder eye shadow last before deteriorating under normal storage conditions? It would take me a decade to get to all of those shadows. The only Bobbi shadow I have is the Greige palette, and it is not the most exciting thing in the world, but my eye shadow always looks good when I’m using any of the shades.

Don’t buy it Muse! You know her quality hasn’t been the greatest these last few years!!! Invest in Laura Mercier instead!!! Or buy something for your summer home with that money!!! Then invite us over for a makeup party. 😀

    • Isabella Muse

staying strong Robin that’s one thing preventing me also I have a lot of these shades 😀 HA you are ALWAYS invited over! If you’re in NY email me! I’ll let ya play with my makeup any day 😀

  • Christina D.

It is indeed lovely but I swore off Bobbi Brown eye shadows years ago: they have absolutely no pigmentation as far as I’m concerned.

Be strong, Muse, there will be more (and better) things down the pike…

    • Isabella Muse

lol I’m trying sis I’m trying! I agree, hit or miss with the quality on BB lately!

  • Adrienne

Muse I’m gonna tell you hold out a little bit longer for a sale. As you said before “limited edition” doesn’t always mean limited edition and often comes back. Hold out AND you may get a better haul with some freebies you can review for us 🙂 Why does my gut say I’m already too late and your waiting for your shipment confirmation??

    • Isabella Muse

LOL Adrienne it’s ok you’re NOT too late 😀 I’m still wishy washy about it because I have so much that is in it ;-D thanks girl! I needed the pep talk!

  • Deb

Don’t do it Muse!! Save that money for something truly new and unique. There aren’t any new shades here and there’s definitely nothing unique. You can do it! Take it out of your cart NOW. I know it’s just sitting there….

  • Jackie

Unless you just want all these shades in one handy palette, $200 is pretty extravagant. And she has so many that are pretty similar to each other. My rule on buying a palette is dividing the price by # of shadows, and counting how many I’d be really hooked on using. THAT answer can justify whether to get it or not! 🙂

    • Jackie

or I mean actually divide to get the price, then multiply the regular price of 1 shadow by the # of shadows you’d use. Am I making sense? LOL

  • Jay

Stunning! Bobbi Brown single shadows are fantastic, so if the quality of this palette is the same than its more than worth it! Maybe swatch in store first to make sure the magic is there…then DO IT! 😀

  • Arcy

Please get it. I need to know whether I should invest my money on it. That’s a steep price if the shadows aren’t that good

    • Jackie

You can NEVER go wrong with Bobbi Brown shadows….the quality is definitely there. In fact, I’m kinda wanting it now, too. 🙂

  • Lee-Anne

Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it!!

One of the UK BB Pro artists Amy showed me pictures of this from her phone a few months ago and looked great! Will see what the UK price is although I am trying to invest in good skincare at the moment which I need more than another BB palette….

  • Randi MacDonald

I do not own any BB shadows except a cream shadow stick( which was a GWP) and I love it. I recently bought the BEACH perfume set because I got a 25.00 reward with it from Bloomingdales. WIth that being said, the perfume is amazing, but does not last at all. Those shadows look amazing to me because I love nudes, but if the quality sucks, I’d be upset spending that amount of $$.

  • Paula

What a pickle! I want to say buy it because it really is stunning, one of kind. I am tempted to open up a credit card just to buy it. My makeup addict voice won’t go away. On the other hand how many Nudes does one need? I don’t know. I guess in makeup one needs as many as one could get. I don’t think I could even touch it if I purchased it! I am sorry I can’t help! I realize I just made it worse. You’re in my thoughts Muse. I will wait with the rest to see what you do. Please know I support you in any decisions you make. :'(

    • Isabella Muse

lol thanks Paula 🙂 I stayed strong and didn’t indulge! 🙂 I looked through my stash, realized I own almost all the shades and that was the key point to not buy it!

      • Paula

That’s great you held out and realized you had all the colors. I completely know what you go through when it comes to makeup! Not only am I an addict I am a makeup hoarder! I can’t even throw away the boxes the product comes in!!lol

  • Cassia M

It looks gorgeous but every single Bobbi shadow/palettes I have is just terrible in quality, they look good but have terrible pigmentation and are so chalky. I’d pass cause of that.
Talking about palettes I’m still in love with my modern renaissance from ABH, so wonderful.

  • genevieve

Don’t get it Isabella – many of these shades look incredibly similar to each other and BB has not delivered the goods for a long time now. Take it out of your cart and switch off the computer. Wait for others to buy it and read their reviews…….

  • Evie

I don’t think this palette is worth $200 for 2 reasons.

First, it’s a rerun of the old Bobbi Brown collections. That means you are not getting state-of-the-art eye shadow technology. It’s a clever marketing trick from Bobbi Brown, by selling old shadows for a high price to Bobbi Brown fans. You should be looking for new formulations of eye shadows whether it’s from Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier or some other brand. Companies do change their formulations especially with new technologies are developed that make powder stay longer but feel lighter on your skin.

Second, it’s not very portable. I travel a lot so I want a small eye palette that contains all of the colors I use all the time. I have the Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude 6 shadow palette already. I also bought an empty 3 shadow pan and filled it with 3 shades that are not in the Nude on Nude palette. How many eye shadows do you really need when you go on a long trip? This palette just takes up space and makes your bag heavier.

$200 is a LOT of money. Don’t waste it on makeup that uses old technology.

It looks so beautiful but it is so expensive! And over here in Switzerland all of her products are so much more expensive than in the US and some of them are not even available…….i would love though to own them but would the quality be as good ad the single shadows? It would be interesting to read your review and to see your swatches….
By the way, I am reading you for quite a wile now and have some questions: You look so young Isabelle, are you still in your late twenties? Have you got children? Please excuse these direct questions, am just wondering because on your profile you look like seventeen…:-)
Lots of love from a reader in little Switzerland 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

Aw that stinks Mary 🙁 Sorry! Honestly, her formula has been hit and miss lately which is why I’m a bit reserved purchasing it 🙂 No longer in my twenties 🙂 I don’t have kids, no. I wish I was still 17 haha! xoxoxoxo!

  • Susie

I bought 4 gorgeous Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palettes this year and they all sucked! The pigmentation was awful and the beautiful shimmers fell all over my face. I use them occasionally with Inglot Duraline or some fix plus but honestly, for the price, you shouldn’t have to work so hard. Wet’nWild shadows are better than Bobbi Brown. Viseart is expensive but worth every penny.

    • Isabella Muse

aw sorry Susie! My last few BB purchases have been a miss, it’s the only thing keeping me from buying this one!

  • hicharbo

I was google searching just now for “bobbi brown nude library review” and BAM! Lord & Taylor is pricing this for $120…. I wonder why…. too shady…?
