Britney Spears Private Show Perfume

Britney Spears Private Show Perfume is an exciting new fragrance that gets added to the singer’s collection. Private Show is actually Britney’s 20th fragrance and takes its inspiration from her love of dulce de leche, white flowers, iced coffee, and dancing. Yes, I said iced coffee! I have a love of gourmand fragrances so, I knew I had to try out Private Show for myself, they had me at iced coffee.

Mind you, I’m not a coffee drinker (I’m a tea girl!) but I adore the smell of coffee and coffee drinks. Take a tour through my indie perfume collection and you’re bound to come across some very interesting coffee blends that I love and used often such as Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie’s fragrance, Gloria.

It was one of the key selling points in Britney’s new fragrance.

Let’s take a look!

I admit, I own a good deal of Britney’s fragrances. Guilty pleasure? Perhaps! But I typically enjoy many of her sweet, fruity creations. I can’t say I own them all but I own quite a few and can happily say that Private Show is not a retake or repromoted fragrance. Too many times, I think celebrities fall into the trap of creating an entire line of fragrances based off of one best seller. It’s annoying for me to have new top and middle notes but the base notes remain the same which essentially makes the fragrance a copycat of the one before it.

Britney Spears Private Show

Private Show contains new and exciting notes that set it apart from its 19 other sisters in the Britney Spears’ fragrance empire. It even comes housed in a new diamond shaped bottle with a crystal pink top. Britney typically favors rounded ball bottles with many of her fragrances. Private Show gets new packaging that’s simple yet elegant.

This is a fruity, floral gourmand that quite reminds me of the new Tone Blissful Body Caffeine and Vanilla Blossom Body Wash. As first I didn’t get nor understand the coffee element I’ve heard and read about in reviews. But the more I use it, the more I’m understanding it. At first mist, this smells like a rather elaborate Starbucks coffee blend. Mind you, there’s no bitter coffee note here nor the warmth of an espresso drink. It’s more of sugary vanilla coffee drink mix where the vanilla and sugar outweigh the coffee. There’s a good deal of sweetness on that initial mist that reminds me of a mixed coffee drink piled high with whipped cream and perhaps swirls of caramel. It actually sets really quickly and although there are supposed to be fruity notes of clementine and nectarine on that initial mist they never really made it to my nose. As it warms up and settles down, the coffee and whipped cream element is replaced by dulce de leche tangled with jasmine and a warm, sensual amber and musk. It’s a tricky little fragrance that goes from sweet to sweetly sexy very, very quickly. The fragrance is a little fleeting on my drier skin at around four hours of wear before needing a touch up.

If you’re a gourmand lover I see it being an instant success story for you. Private Show brings elements of playfulness but it’s also a fragrance that can be best described as sweetly sexy! If you like your coffee served elaborately with chocolate shavings, whipped cream, and other sweet elements you should get on just fine with this fragrance.

Britney Spears Private Show Perfume is available now at Kohl’s, kohls.com, and other retailers shortly.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. i have this one and love it! I knew you would like it too. =) Britney scents are a guilty pleasure of mine too. Your description is spot on for me. My one complaint is I wish the bottle I got was bigger.

I really liked it. It’s not a traditional coffee scent in any way but more fancy coffee drink with whipped cream 😀 By the way, try the Tone Body Wash! It smells a lot like this and is a perfect companion to the perfume 😀 I wish it lasted a little longer on me but my body chemistry is wacky!

i totally google that tone body wash after reading this yesterday! LOL i want to pick it up, even though I have a shelf full of BBW body washes that will probably last me 10 years. You are so not alone! I always feel fragrance never last long on me either. The only brand I find that has super long staying power on me is Jo Malone.

it smells SO nice! get it 😀 Haha likewise, my shower gel is absurd! Jo Malone disappears on me sadly 🙁 I tend to go with a lot of niche perfumes, they last longest for me!

I tried it at Kohl’s the other day and I really liked it. It smells mostly like caramel to me; very sweet. I think I may buy it soon; when I get tired of wearing Mad Love.

I’m gonna try it but the bottle doesn’t look all that exciting. My fav is still Fantasy.
