Essence Prettifying Lip Oil 1

Essence Prettifying Lip Oil ($2.99) is a new lip oil formula that give lips a shiny finish while nourishing and moisturizing them with Jojoba Oil! Lip oils have becoming increasing popular in the beauty world lately after the introduction of Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment. Since that release many others have followed such as the new Yes to Miracle Oil Primrose Lip Oil, and Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil just to name a few!

I’m prone to drier lips so, I’m totally drawn to lip oils!

Here’s a look at the Essence Prettifying Lip Oil!

Essence Prettifying Lip Oil

I personally didn’t like Milani’s formula so, I’m happy there’s another super budget friendly lip oil formula available! Essence Prettifying Lip Oil is available in three shade selections with a formula enriched with Jojoba Oil. I got the shade I Care for You, Honey which is a bright yellow but applies clear on lips and has a very subtle sweet taste.

This has a plush, oily texture that adheres to lips in a smooth, even finish that gives them a pouty, glossy appearance. The formula isn’t sticky nor tacky and leave my lips pleasantly hydrated through the two hour wear! Reapplication is necessary because the shine and formula wears away at around the two hour mark but during that time this keeps lips pleasantly moist and glossy!

If you’re prone to drier lips this is a nice little lip oil to have handy! It’ll keep your lips lightly hydrated plus it provides plenty of shine! Did I mention the best part? It’s three bucks!

Score!

Essence Prettifying Lip Oil is available now at essencemakeup.com right now and will be available soon at Target.com and Ulta.com.

Thanks Muse. How much is the price and what is the net weight of the tube? Thanks. It looks nice on you.

I’m really starting to like Essence products! Another new item to try!!

I have very dry lips, year round. They are very chapped. So I tried the Milani oil and I wasn’t super impressed. Might try this one. The only thing that actually does something for my lips is Lypsyl mint lip balm. It is the best. Thanks for the review! Do you have any other recommendations? Drugstore?

    • Isabella Muse

me either, it was kind of meh for a lip oil! I’ll have to try Lypsyl! Never heard of it 😀 For dry lips? I love Nivea Lip Butter! That’s great stuff!

I would to love to see if you like it! It is from Sweden. But I live in the states and I find it in Wallmart, by the lip balms that are near the toothbrushes and stuff. I know you hate Wallmart, mine is a very good Wallmart with no opened products! They used to sell it at Wallgreens but I can’t find it there anymore. They also had a chamomile and honey flavor that was super soothing! I can’t find it anymore. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll have to check them out 🙂

I saw these on the essence website and was curious. The Milani ones were god-awful so I’m a little apprehensive about these. I want an actual oil not what Milani had (although those do say oil-infused) but those were just like a clear, flavored gloss. I know I’ll end up trying one of these since they are only $3, but I’ll wait until Ulta has them in store.

I didn’t like them either, really weak moisture. This isn’t an actual oil, oil, as it is mixed with some sort of base but it is considerably more hydrating than Milani’s version!

Oh man! It has a doe foot applicator. The packaging reminded me of a super old school lip gloss I used to have that was probably just a lip oil now that I think about it.

It was a very thin formula that offered moisture, shine, and a deliciously fruity scent/taste but with a rollerball applicator!

I loved that thing. But I have no idea what it was since it was so long ago!

I must have been living under a rock because I didn’t know Essence sold their products online in the US? When did this start?
