Kylie Cosmetics KYShadow The Bronze Palette Review & Swatches
I can’t even tell you how difficult it was getting my hands on the Kylie Cosmetics The Bronze Palette! If there are more KYShadow Palettes in the future I hope that they will be easier to buy because this one was damn near impossible to get.
As you may already know Kylie Jenner has her own line of cosmetics and recently she introduced her first every eyeshadow palette, The Bronze Palette. Honestly, this was all kinds of appealing to me because 1. I admire Kylie and all the Kardashian’s eye and lip looks! They always give great nude lip and eye looks that’s for sure! And 2, I really had to see what all the hype was for myself.
So, here’s my thoughts, review, and swatches of the Kylie Cosmetics Kyshadow The Bronze Palette.
One of the worst things about this palette was actually buying it. I took me three times to get it from Kylie’s website! Her cosmetics are obviously popular because they sell out with seconds, literally seconds, of launching on her site. I swear both times I tried to get the palette it was gone in under a minute. The last time though I was prepared, I had saved my credit card info on her site, was logged into her site, and I click submit and miraculously was able to buy this little baby.
I think one of the things I like most about it would be the fact it’s a selection of curated shades you’re likely to see Kylie wearing. I personally like the way Kylie does her makeup and this palette pretty much gives you the tools to recreate her eye looks. There’s nothing in the palette that you wouldn’t see Kylie personally wear.
The palette will set you back $42 and holds nine eyeshadows each of which is individually named. The palette itself is a little smaller than a CD and made from sturdy cardboard and holds no mirror inside. It’s made in the USA and each shade is 0.05 oz in size. The other palette depicts Kylie’s eyes bleeding shades of bronze. It’s a rather interesting design and I like it. You also get this cute little handwritten card thanking you for your purchase which also has Kylie’s eyes on it and when held a certain way they blink at you! It’s a cute little extra.
The shades included are:
- Jasper (matte finish creamy beige)
- Quartz (satin finish champagne gold)
- Topaz (matte finish true taupe)
- Goldstone (satin finish bronze)
- Citrine (matte finish bright orange)
- Tiger Eye (matte finish light golden brown)
- Hematite (matte finish chestnut brown)
- Bronzite (matte finish chocolate brown)
- Obsidian (matte finish black)
I was pretty happy with the shade selection. There’s a ton of perfect nudes and neutrals in here as well as some very pretty rusty oranges and browns that will create some fabulous Fall looks. It’s an excellent round up of coordinated shades that play off each other and will contrast and work well together to create a variety of looks.
The formula is powdery but never dry or chalky. All the shades, I can’t complain about a single one, had a soft, silky, velvety texture that blended easily on my eyes. The colors are nicely pigmented and they look and apply well on my drier eyes without creasing.
So yeah, it was SO hard to purchase this one but I’m actually happy I finally did get it because I have a feeling I’ll be using it quite often. This is a great selection of nude, neutral shades that will create beautiful day or night looks. The shades coordinate well together and are formulated with a beautifully velvety texture that applied very easily and smoothly on my lids.
If Kylie does to release another palette I’m all about picking it up because the The Bronze Palette definitely impressed.
