The Max Factor Collection That Broke The Internet Is At Walgreens Now

Max Factor The Enticing Cat Eye

The limited edition Max Factor The Enticing Cat Eye Collection has arrived at Walgreens. Seriously, the news that Max Factor was potentially returning the US damn near broke the Internet late last month and everyone was on a mad scramble to locate the small Max Factor The Enticing Cat Eye Collection like it contains the tools to defeat the zombies should the apocalypse go down tomorrow.

In 2009, Max Factor left US drugstores and I wasn’t exactly sorry about it. I honestly, can’t recall Max Factor all that much so, maybe I didn’t realize what I was missing but it vanished and only until the UK started getting cool releases that suddenly I was all like, “Hey, maybe Max Factor should come back!” I don’t think Max Factor has officially made a statement about a return nor has Coty who owns the brand now.

But right now the limited edition collection is available at Walgreens and includes Masterpiece Max High Volume Mascara, Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner, as well as two shades of Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipsticks.

I picked up one of the lipsticks as it looks like a lovely nude! Also, the mascara as I’m running low on Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes so, I thought I’d try something new.

What do you think of this new Max Factor Collection?

Did you pick up anything from this collection?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I remember liking their 2000 Calorie mascara and it was highly rated on Consumer Reports magazine. I was really disappointed when they left the U.S. and I hope Max Factor officially comes back to the U.S. I will check out this collection if I do see it.

YES!! I loved that 2000 Calorie mascara! I hope that makes a comeback! ^_^

I was so upset when Max Factor left the USA!!! 2000 calories mascara and panstick. How can you argue a name that created Jean Harlow’s iconic look

    • Isabella Muse

Don’t be mad, I’m so not a Jean Harlow girl! Give me Fay Wray any day 🙂 Jean Harlow always had the really super thin brows that scared me. We can still be friends right!!!??? 🙂

      • Justin

Fay is good but always adored like Marlene or Greta. Always and forever friends Musie

Vivian Leigh? Perhaps but if we’re going in that territory I always enjoy Ingrid Bergman and Olivia De Havilland and etc more

          • Isabella Muse

Yes! 🙂 I could not agree more! Olivia De Havilland was a stunning women!

Vivian Leigh and Olivia de Haviland. Two wonderful and talented reasons to watch that other monstrous Gone With the Wind movie.

A lot of the mascaras here in the UK are just the covergirl ones repackaged and more expensive! So even if it’s not there forever, a lot of it you can still get (in albeit less classy packaging)

I was excited when I saw this at Walgreens last week because it gave me hope that they would start carrying this line because I would like to try their stick foundation.

I bought the mascara yesterday. It’s wonderful! I wish 2000 Calorie would come back but this will do for now. No clumping, nice black formula. So far, so good!

I don’t really remember MaxFactor from before but I’ve been wanting to try for awhile. I bought the lipstick at Walgreens but I wasn’t that impressed to be honest. I think I’d rather see their face cosmetics.

I want to see that red lipstick. I’m going to have to check out a different Walgreens b/c the store I went to was all sold out. (So typical Walgreens)

The main appeal of Max Factor to me has always been Old Hollywood, so maybe that’s part of why some others like it? 😀

We have Max Factor in Australia and their lipsticks are good. The rest of the range that we get is OK. For those who liked their products, it is good news that it’s returning to the US.

New subscriber here. Love your site! Max Factor had the best concealer ever (for me)… called ERACE. When they left our market, I bought every last ERACE I could find. Still using it! (Keep it in the fridge…. lasts forEVER!!) Max Factor is the Great Grandfather of Dean and Davis Factor, the founders of SMASHBOX COSMETICS…. So I’m a true fan of the family legacy. Can’t wait to try the new Factor line. Keep up the great work!

aw thanks Suzanne! that means the world to me! I looked up Erace right away because I’m a concealer junkie 😀 I have to track down some and see if I like it or not 😀 xoxox! Thanks for your lovely comment!
