Rimmel My Nude Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick was a shade I came across in a near empty display of 15 Years of Iconic Kate Special Edition Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipsticks earlier last week. I’m crushed because I really wanted to indulge in a few more shades from this display but it was just utterly empty. Some of the colors, appear to be from the Nudes by Kate Moss Collection and a variety of other Rimmel Kate Moss shades. Some of the nudes I don’t have and those are the ones that were most appealing.
Oh well! Guess I’ll have to keep hunting down the shade!
But for now I’m happy I got My Nude because it is a must have!
Between Rimmel My Nude Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick and Max Factor Maroon Dust Colour Elixir Lipstick, I think I’ve found my favorite nudes for Fall looks!
My Nude comes in a special edition pink gold metallic barrel. I’ve always been a fond lover of Rimmel’s lipstick packaging. The purple lipstick barrels in particular have always been a favorite of mine and I have to admit this pink gold barrel simply thrills me!
Inside you’ll find a light pink caramel nude with a pink undertone. It’s a little lighter than Max Factor’s Maroon Dust but doesn’t give me a case of zombie lips thankfully. I simply love it! It pulls very pink beige on my skin tone but it looks positively delightful! I especially like it topped with clear gloss (not pictured here) as it sheers out and creates this gorgeous glossy nude on my lips. For my look below I used the Tarte x Hrush Palette for my eyes and thought it complimented the lipstick shade perfectly. I’m no Kardashian but I really liked the nude look I created as it as simple and natural!
The formula isn’t exactly perfect. It’s a soft, thin, creamy consistency that has a certain balminess to it. It feels pleasantly moist on my lips but the color tends to fall into my natural lip lines so, I have to smooth a finger over my lips to get it smooth and even. It does have a unusual play-doh like flavor and fragrance but it is very subtle.
It’s not the best formula in the world nor the worst but the color is so perfect I’m willing to deal with any and all issues! It’s simply gorgeous!
I hope I can find a full display as maybe there are more gems hanging out in that anniversary display!
