Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Apple Cider Review
Today is my final review of the third and last Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Festival Fragrances! I purchased Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Apple Cider in both the Fine Fragrance Mist and Body Lotion alone with Salted Pumpkin Caramel and Pumpkin Cupcake courtesy that great Buy 3, Get 3 Free Sale going at the moment.
These three fragrances have definitely been getting me in the mood for Fall but they do not contain any pumpkin notes at all! What in the what?
Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Apple Cider doesn’t have a single note of pumpkin in it! Oh well! The good news? This is a delight crisp apple cider blend that’s perfect for Fall. As with many Bath and Body Works fragrances it’s fleetingly beautiful so, I advice layering! Applying a matching lotion before the fragrance mist will get you a longer wear and throw. I always feel like if I don’t apply the lotion I get like 20 minutes out of a fragrance mist at best. Layer, layer, layer for the best results.
At first mist this is a bouquet of crisp slightly tart, juicy apples. As it settles down you’ll find a hint of spicy cinnamon comes out to play! Further dry down reveals the caramel note and finally at the finally dry down at around an hour you’ll find vanilla and a whipped up muskiness combines with the tart apple. It’ll sound weird but this smells like someone sliced up some crisp, crunchy applies, placed them in a plate and sprinkled them with cinnamon, and proceeded to squirt whipped cream on top of them. I think the longer you were it the more it warms up and becomes much more of an apple cider scent but initially it smells like crispy Fall apples and whipped topping with cinnamon!
I think that Bath & Body Works did a fine job with all three of the Pumpkin Festival fragrances but maybe next year name them something different but there isn’t a lot of pumpkin going on in any of these fragrances.
Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Apple is available now in stores and online.
