Give Your Trick or Treaters Halloween PocketBacs

bath-body-works-halloween-pocketbacs

When I was a kid my mom used to give out bubblegum flavored toothpaste paired up with a toothbrush that had some cartoon or another on it to Trick or Treaters. I remember one year it was Wonder Woman and another year there were Snork toothbrushes. Yeah, the Snorks, who remembers that? There were also Strawberry Shortcake ones. Don’t worry, my mom’s treats never went over well but my dad was right behind her Halloween baggies filled with yummy snack sizes. Thanks dad for not ruining Halloween.

I’m a lot older now and I think I’ve turned into my mother because these Bath & Body Works Halloween Pocketbacs are terribly appealing to gift to Trick or Treaters.

Question is will they go over big or will they gain a sneer.

I thought this set was too cute. Bath & Body Works packs up 15 Pocketbacs into this set for $19.50 each one is decorated with Halloween labels and comes in fun halloween scents!

You get 3 each of Vampire’s Blood, Ghoul Friend, Purrfect Pumpkin, Berried Alive, and Web Lies.

Total pumpkin goals to gift Pocketbacs for Halloween. They gotta be cooker than toothpaste and toothbrushes right? Shifty eyes.

🙂

Happy Early Halloween!

P.S. What treats do you give out for Halloween? What are your favs? I’m one of those sad old farts that loves Goldberg’s Peanut Chews! Other chocolate just doesn’t taste the same as it did when I was a child! Snickers, Kit Kats, Trix, I’m really not into ’em! Gimme a bag of Peanut Chews and I’ll inhale it. I’m also a massive fan of shopping some of the old penny candies from the Vermont Country Store.

Isabella, these are so cute. I doubt the kids would want these hand gels. Mothers and women will stash them in their purses. Candy wise I give out lollipops and tootsie rolls and I love m and m’s and kit kat candy and Hershey chocolates.

Haha I know right? I’m probably the person that WOULD WANT a pocketbac for Halloween! I typically do little Halloween baggies with a bunch of different candies inside as well as stickers, Halloween erasers, etc that I get from Oriental Trading.

      • Sarah

What an awesome idea. I love oriental trading. I live out in the country, so we go to “town” and give out treats. I may be wrong, but at least here in Florida ziploc has Halloween baggies that are available at target and the evil wal mart. But, yes, the kids would be like, what the heck is this gel stuff? I like your idea of candies, stickers and erasers. I know what I’m doing this weekend. OT here I come. ;-), maybe even dollar tree. I don’t have much luck there though. 🙁

        • Isabella Muse

I love those little half ziploc bags! I actually use them to hold other stuff too so around Halloween I stock up on them because I like the prints. 😀 It’s antibacterial gel for your hands! OT has coupons hanging around, check retailmenot 🙂

I would give you such a stink eye if there wasn’t any candy to go along with it! this isn’t one of those things you appreciate right away, like good candy. it comes in handy later but for immediate satisfaction-not so much.

    • Isabella Muse

you suck! I’d love getting a halloween pocketbac, even as a child I washed my hands 10000 times a day lol 😀

      • Ruth

i totally do suck! i was a gross kid- played in the mud, picked up worms, rolled in the dirt, and was convinced swimming in the pool totally counted as a bath!

        • Carol G

Wait a minute, a swimming pool doesn’t count as a bath?!? It’s got chlorine in it so I’m sure you would get just as clean. 😉
(Your comment made me laugh, I was the same way growing up, total tomboy).

          • Ruth

Carol- this was my thinking! I’m pretty sure i was the cleanest kid ont he block! 😉

  • Aislyn Abraham

My 6 year old little sister loves these things, and uses them as perfume so it’s not a bad idea!

  • CL

I wouldn’t give those out for Halloween as I’d be afraid the kids would drink them!

  • Cookie

Muuuuse! We’re getting closer to Halloween I can barely stand it! I hand out full-size Hershey bars, M&Ms and Reece’s PB cups. I try to get things I can use in holiday baking or can be used to decorate gingerbread houses. (I usually over buy and have leftovers!) Costco sells shaped pretzels — I like those for the littlest ones.

This year we are putting out a teal pumpkin. It’s to let people know you’re handing out non-food treats for kids with allergies. I think these would be perfect for that! So far I’ve picked up pencils and pumpkin erasers. Some glow-in-the-dark crazy straws and super balls. I think I’ll head out in search of these asap. There’s a website if you’re interested.

You never fail to find the cutest treats for every occasion, Muse! Thank you so much!

    • Isabella Muse

omg cookie thanks for that link! I’ll be doing the same, I never even took any of this into consideration until you mentioned it! And funny because my little cousin had/has all sorts of allergic reactions to wheat and a slew of other things, you’d think I’d have taken that into consideration for Halloween! Thanks! Btw, Oriental Trading is super for treats, I typically buy bulk pumpkin erasers, glow sticks, etc as well as my halloween bags or boxes for trick or treaters here. You should be able to find some fun stuff for your baking too! http://www.orientaltrading.com/sale/halloween-b1-90000+1604+1237-2.fltr THANK YOU for bringing this to my attention!

I would have loved these as a Halloween treat just for the cute pictures on the packaging and bright colours! I’ve never had much of a sweet tooth, thankfully where I lived as a child it was more traditional to give out a 1 or 50p coin to trick or treaters 😉 I hope these are in store when I’m over that side of the pond, must have in my BBW haul!

Nobody really comes to our door on Halloween sadly, but I always get a bag of mini chocolate bars in just in case. So after 9 pm the night is basically spent gorging on those 😀

  • Carol G

I saw this at the store and thought it was a cute idea but for the price, I’d go broke! I get upwards of 300 kids in my neighborhood! This would be cute just to give out to a choice few of older kids who might appreciate it (like 5th or 6th graders). Otherwise, I buy good candy: Reeses, Snickers, M&Ms, all the good chocolate. Nothing worse than going to a house and they give out cheap, gross chocolate that they propbably bought on clearance last Halloween!

    • Sarah

I’m laughing at all these replies. One year I had so many trick or treaters, that I finally gave up and gave them money. I think I was most popular house on the block. However, if I I had a lick of sense, I would have turned my lights off. 🙂
