Kylie Cosmetics Gloss Review & Swatches

kylie-cosmetics-lipgloss

I picked up a few shades of Kylie Cosmetics Gloss recently when I purchased the KyShadow The Bronze Eyeshadow Palette. Kylie has a range of matte, long-wearing lipsticks but we all know how I feel about liquid lipsticks right? So, I decided I really wanted to check out her lipgloss collection instead! I’m totally a gloss girl so, these fit the bill perfectly particularly because they came in a wide range of nude shades that looked super wearable!

Kylie and the Kardashian’s in general are well known for their gorgeous nude lip looks. I always envy the fact they don’t look like zombies when wearing nude lipsticks and glosses! That’s one of the things I actually like about Kylie’s line of makeup, the fact all her products are shades you’d see her wearing on her eyes and lips. I’m also pretty excited that many of the Kylie Cosmetics Lipgloss shades are easy to wear nudes.

Don’t pass these up, you might just find your most wearable nude in Kylie’s Gloss Collection!

Kylie Cosmetics Gloss are available in 7 shade selections with a price of $15 for 0.09 oz of product. One of my biggest rants about Kylie’s makeup is the fact her shipping is so high at around $9 per an order that ships regular standard mail. Good news though, apparently she is lowering her price and offering free shipping soon according to a message that was posted recently to her fans.

Kylie Cosmetics Gloss Swatches (Candy K, Like, Poise K)

Kylie Cosmetics Gloss Swatches (Candy K, Like, Poise K)

Kylie Cosmetics Gloss is a very thick, creamy, opaque gloss formula. These aren’t shy about pigment and a single application yields full color coverage on lips. Don’t get me wrong, I like sheer gloss as much as the next girl but I adore the fact that the color in the tube is exactly the color that I see on my lips after application. These pack the color pay off for sure. Sadly, you aren’t going to love them if you don’t like thicker lipgloss formulas. They are a formula that make themselves very known on lips and aren’t lightweight in the least. These are fairly thick with a bit of tackiness but a pleasant enough wear on lips with no migration or movement and a wear of around five hours. I wouldn’t say they have high shine finish but they do have a nice glossiness to them. They have no flavor or fragrance. I was happy that they have a brush applicator because you wouldn’t be able to layer a gloss this thick with a sponge applicator. However, I had a little problem with the bristles splitting on the brushes! This happened with two of the three shades I ordered. You can reshape them by taking a tissue and just straightening them out.

I struggle with nude glosses and lipsticks but every single shade I purchased from this collection was thee perfect nude. No zombie lips here just gorgeous color. Even Posie K, which isn’t a traditional nude but more of a pretty pink was a great MLBB (my lips but better) shade.

All in all, Kylie Cosmetics Gloss was a pleasant surprise. I’d definitely head in for a purchase of more shades! If you’re looking for a pigmented, nude lipgloss that accents lips with gorgeous color but doesn’t look like set in rigor mortis set in, I’d highly suggest grabbing up some of these pretty shades.

I actually really like how thick and ultra glossy they are, Like is such a stunning shade. Great review and swatches, I still think they are overpriced especially with shipping so I am going to stick with dupes for now. Awesome post xxx

I wasn’t even going to open this review because I hate all things Kardashian, but I was curious and I can’t believe how nice these look! Muse, they all look great on you! Ugh! going t9 take a peek at her site.

They are really nice! 😀 I liked them. She’s apparently lowering her prices soon and doing a free shipping option so you might want to wait 😀

I’m a gloss girl too, high five! Lipstick always feels so dry and tacky and I am not found of super opaque. All these shades look nice on you, especially the last!

^5! 🙂 I really like gloss too but so many are sheer, love that these have a good deal of color!

No way was I going to pay for shipping, so I took advantage of the free shipping and ordered my first Kylie Gloss – Posie K and the matching lip liner. From swatches online I thought Posie K would be a nude mauve pink, but it looks a lot pinker here, hoping I can pull it off. I find most glosses way too sheer for my not-so-pigmented lips, so I don’t mind a thicker formula if that means more pigment and better wear. I’m also liking Like, it looks like a nude I can wear without looking dead or sick.
