Lorac Pro Liquid Lipstick Review & Swatches
As you know Lorac Pro Liquid Lipstick ($19) is launching shortly in ten gorgeous shades. The liquid lipstick trend is simply not going away and this formula is definately one to look out for thanks to the transfer-proof, easy to wear formula that doesn’t dry out lips.
Here’s a look at the Lorac Pro Liquid Lipsticks and my thoughts and review on them!
Lorac Pro Liquid Lipstick will be launching shortly in ten gorgeous shades at Kohl’s in store as well as online at kohls.com. Some reader’s have reported already seeing them at their stores so, you might want to check in and see if they have them up and out already.
I don’t really like liquid lipstick personally as I find it a little difficult to remove and touch up throughout the day. But it isn’t only touching up that bugs but also the fact that many liquid lipsticks suck moisture from my already dry lips. Who wants to wear lipstick for 10 hours straight that feels and maybe even looks dry and cracked? Not me!
I went into my testing of Lorac Pro Liquid Lipstick with a good deal of trepidation. Oddly enough I came out of the experience actually liking this formula. This is a very thin, lightweight liquid lipstick, I’d even go so far as to call it runny. It applies very easily and smoothly to my drier lips without clinging to flakier areas nor accentuating my natural lip lines or falling into those lip lines. The application was smooth, even, and flawless. The formula does remain “wet” and shiny for several seconds after application but sets completely matte after drying down. You have plenty of time to build color and I even felt like I could build easily on to of an already dried layer without fear of cracking or flaking. The color has a knack for looking perfect no matter what. Upon setting I was worried it would dry my lips out but it didn’t tighten nor did it crack or make my lips feel dry. Granted, it isn’t hydrating in the least but it isn’t sucking moisture from my lips either which is a plus. I can get about 8 hours from these before they show some signs of wear. If I press it, I can go ten hours but by hour ten it does look like I have a ring of color around my lips but nothing filling the middle so, reapplication at this point is a good idea. During that time I really felt like I had nothing at all on my mouth. The formula is very lightweight!
Liquid Lipsticks aren’t typically my thing but Lorac Pro Liquid Lipstick gets a green light from me for purchase. These wear long and strong and provide opaque, pigmented color on a single application and a traditional matte formula that never felt or looked dry on my lips.
