New! Victoria’s Secret Intense Eau de Parfum

victorias-secret-intense-eau-de-parfum

So, I happen to really love unique, niche fragrances. I’m always looking for something different and special. You might even call me a fragrance snob. But I’ll be the first to admit, I have a different love of Victoria’s Secret perfumes.

When I was in the 8th Grade and still pretty naive I remember my friend Christine got a bottle of Heavenly for Christmas (she also got a bunch of other rather “mature” stuff like a Fido Dido hoodie, an Interview with a Vampire Box Sex, etc..). I recall being amazed by the fragrance gift, as was my other friend, at the time. I think we were both in awe of such teenage-like gifts. Especially a perfume from Victoria’s Secret.

Needless to say, in some aspects, this was a turning point for me and the start of a long love affair with VS.

I remember that same year I ended up begging my mom for my own bottle. Since that time, many, many bottles of Victoria’s Secret fragrances have passed across my vanity. I really like their scents although I’ll be the first one to say that in recent years many of their fragrances are starting to turn into a Bath & Body Works-like experience where everything starts to smell exactly the same as the next release.

But I continue to buy for some reason!

I’ll also be the first to say that their formula seem strong at first mist but end up fading into oblivion rather quickly.

So, that’s why “Intense” caught my eye today!

Intense? Really? Like is the formula stronger? Better stronger? Good linger?

One can hope so!

This lovely little fragrance is a warm blend of salted praline, coconut, and creamy florals.

I’m eager to try it!

It’s available now in stores and at victoriassecret.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The “intense” label scared me off but the scent notes sound lovely. I’ll have to check this out over the weekend.

My all time favorite is Rapture. I think I tried it 20 years ago and fell in love with it. But, alas, it has changed too. Heavenly is so over used, that I get sick around it. I am eager to try this new fragrance as well as Crush. I totally agree with you, that the scents have all merged together in the last 10 years or so.

I agree about Heavenly, I can’t even stand the smell of it anymore! It’s just a very over used fragrance. It’s sad, because they really have done anything too unique in a while although I will say the v-day fragrance, forgot the name, was very good!

They destroyed Rapture, it was absolutely sublime! So sad, there’s nothing else like it.

lol! but really, 8th grade, Interview with a Vampire, it was the most sex we saw between the pages of a book!

I have about a gazillion different fragrances in my collection, many of them are from niche brands and very unique and I also appreciate the classics…I just love perfume basically. However, today I started a new job, and what fragrance did I reach for? “Fearless” by Victoria’s Secret! I’m probably on my third bottle, I just love this scent! I also love “Very sexy now” that came out last summer and unfortunately doesn’t seem to be available anymore. I have a few precious sprays left in my bottle that I’m totally hoarding. I have completely given up on Bath and body works, but despite being owned by the same company, I regularly find fragrances I really like from Vickie’s!♡♡♡

Likewise! My stash is filled with unique fragrance but of course, I love ones from VS too 😀 haha…funny you reached for that scent on your first day! 😀 The thing is VS does relaunch fragrance but do you ever notice they aren’t quite like you remember them? That’s why I end up hoarding away last drops too! Likewise! I find VS fragrances a lot more complex than BBW!

I just smelled Intense in store a couple days ago and I love it! It smells like more of a sexy plum to me, but I’m not complaining. My favorite real perfume VS has ever done (not counting body mist because that’s too much to think about!) Sort of reminds me of Juicey Noir.. But a deeper berry, more musk maybe, and very slightly floral in dry down, that makes it slightly more feminine to me. Love it! Curious what you think!
